Sorry friends, we won't make it in 2015. :/ Monster Boy needs more time and we agreed to give it the polishing it deserves. This means the release has to move to 2016.

We also changed the subtitle. After much criticism on our previous choice 'Wizard of Booze'. The games subtitle is now 'Cursed Kingdom'. It fits nicely and we hope this is something more convenient for everybody
these little red snakes are taken from wonder boy pretty much 1:1, the image has been engraved into my brain after playing the first game on my amiga 500 over and over.
As I recall, the original Wonder Boy arcade was incredibly tough, and you gained a certain amount of prestige amongst your peers if you managed to complete it (in my local arcade anyway )
(my claim to fame was completing Shinobi on one life only - including the final boss - I actually received a smattering of applause!)

As an ardent fan of this game that has followed this for 4 years now I'm beyond excited we're rapidly approaching release! I honestly hope this sells millions and we get a Monster Boy series. So much love poured in to this especially the beautiful art that it's bound to be a well-reviewed and amazing gem of a game and a love letter to childhood fans of Wonder Boy. Kudos to the team and I hope the game is a super success!
Any word on the Steam release? It's listed as Q1 2019 on Steam so are we looking at a short timeframe between consoles and Steam or a few months here?
Wondering because I'm very tempted to get a console for this. I'm looking forward to the game that much.

thank you very much for your interest in Monster Boy and for adding it to your wishlist! <3 We're currently finishing our 1.0.4 patches on consoles and the PC version will be based on that with all the fixes and updates + PC exclusive ultra widescreen support. We need a bit more time which is the reason that we changed from Q1 to 2019 but we're working on it and there's no artificial delay. Also please don't worry, the game won't disappear from Steam Store, we haven't signed any exclusivity.
We planned to release the #MonsterBoyGame Demo on #Steam in April but we missed it, sorry! It’s coming soon but we think it’s worth the wait. We unlocked the Framerate and we’re close to have it working nicely. (No 60fps lock) We’ll also have both Xbox and PS4 controller symbols
