So about 8-9 months ago I bought a Sennheiser CX500 headphone.
You know, those in-ear plug sort of things.
And recently I've been noticing that the right speaker got pretty quiet in comparison.
Tried it on my ipod, my laptop, my PC, my dad's CD Player and a couple of other devices.
Switched the headphones around (in case I'm going deaf on the right ear) but nope. The right one got pretty fucking quiet.
Now. One might think that's a warranty issue, right?
Could be problematic.
See, I bought the thing of ebay. Noticed the wire was loose at one point, wrote to Sennheiser and they sent me a replacement.
Now the problem is the guy I bought it off obviously had no receipt but as I got a replacement from Sennheiser I can be pretty certain my headphones aren't fake ones but genuine Sennheiser.
But as I have no receipt I have no way of claiming warranty.
Fuck this stupid shit.
Why would headphones that cost about 60€ when they I bought 'em (paid about 30-ish iIrc) start to fail after not even a year? Fucking joke.
And the sound quality ain't even that great. Way too little bass (and fiddling around with my ipod's equalizer didn't change that too much to my liking)
Had a bad time with Sennheiser too. Got a HD202 with removable cables because the last two headphones i used got broken cables early. The cable of the HD202 broke after about 3 month of daily use. I wrote Sennheiser to replace it. They answered they cant until i send in the headphone. I said lick my scrotum and bought 2 cheap noname cables from amazon and applied some shrink tubes to the connectors. Cables still ok after a year or so. Sennheiser sounds great but sucks everywhere else.
