Don't worry I failed Analysis 1 approximately 3 times and perfectly survived to the catastrophic negativity that followed that ill-omened event!
I haven't studied CS, but the first two years of engineering have a lot in common with your course (Linear Algebra included)

@ixigia
problem with that is if I fail an exam three times I get expelled
But it was just the first time so I'm not worrying about that yet.

Meh, that sucks .. hopefully we don't have such restriction here, otherwise I would have probably been expelled after the first three months of university
What can I say, good luck and let the hump be with you

Jeez 3 times?! We have 8 times until they kick us out :\ Well I always recommend Courant's Introduction to Calculus and Analysis. It's great for understanding things.
I never had any problems with numerical problems in analysis (1 and 2), but I hated oral exams -.- Analysis 1 was my first one and I thought I'd get a heart attack. But I've managed to memorize every important definition and theorem (proof was another thing ). And I even managed to raise the grade
The second I stepped out of the classroom the memory of analysis 1 started to fade
The biggest problem for me was that I couldn't visualize epsilon and delta neighborhood. Until I read Courant. That was a big AHA! moment for me (I'm extremely visual kinda guy).
If you have problems with numerical exercises try Schaum, it's easy read and usually offers a through and through solutions.
I loved linear algebra. It's extremely important in physics, and the teacher was kinda wacky Also I passed that via colloquium (little tests)...
I hope everything works out for you...

Yap just 3 times but we don't have midterm exams or stuff like that. It's just one exam at the end of the semester.

I heard that in Italy there are universities where they never kick you out.
Heard a specific story of a girl that failed the same exam (something in math, prob statistic) for 9 years straight!

I suppose that Reklis is a bachelor student. I, as an old school student, am still busy with my diploma and there are some subjects where you are allowed to write them as much as you want (studienleistung) and the other, important ones, where you'll be expelled after 3 tries ( prüfungsleistung)...
Poor Bachelor students, they have all this pressure and they have to reach a specified amount of credits and all that crap!
Say thank you CDU
