Mmmm, from the gamplay video you posted, looks like it's an "interesting idea but cheap-ass production value" kind of deal.

Here's the NFO for the PS3 version. Only 3.6GB and it's 3.50 game. Duplex included the patched PARAM.SFO and EBOOT.BIN for 3.41 ... but that means no updates/patches, just like GT5 -- unless someone starts modifying those too.

The game is pretty good actually. Easily comparable with alpha protocol.

Had a time trying to get this running. Only thing I can think of is the Parano.sfo file included in the patched directory was corrupted somehow. I'm still running 3.41 on my PS3 using the 3.50 spoof with Hermes v4b and using multiman (latest version).
The nfo says to copy both patches into your FTP directory for the game before launching it and make sure that multiman is in patch mode. When I do this all my PS3 does is kick me back to the XMB and the game never loads properly.
To fix this I just copied the patched eboot.bin and left the sfo file alone. When launching the game multiman asked me if I wanted to edit the sfo file, I said Yes and I did not have patch mode turned on. Weird...but it does work.

This..... does not seem to be a good game :\ I'm only about 30 mins in and already I'm finding it a bit hard to swallow. For one, and let's just get this out the way first, it is seriously FUCKING UGLY - I simply don't recall a game suffering from this many aliased edges in recent memory, nor the horrendous screen tearing evidence of a lack of vsync and, worse, the framerate is amongst some of the very worst I've ever seen. It makes the PC versions of titles like GTA4, Saints Row 2, Crysostasis, Metro 2033 and Crysis look like they're old DOS games. I don't have a nice HUD built into my eyes, so I can't say the exact number but I'd wager a guess it's in the high teens and sometimes breaks the mid 20s. At best.
The controls are sluggish and extremely counter-intuitive with no way of modifying them at all, not even sensitivity options. Your character feels like he's wading through treacle and even the simple act of turning around to face an enemy is a chore. Considering it's a full-on skill based TPS (unlike Alpha Protocol which is stat heavy) the aiming and controls are just wrong, very wrong, coupled with the uber low sensitivity it makes you want to pull your hair out just trying to negotiate combat. Audio is nice though the voice acting (so far....) is a touch on the cringe-worthy side.
As for gameplay? That's where it gets even worse, at least for me. I wouldn't even know how to describe it apart from being a mindless TPS with a weird gimmicky feature (that you'll never use) of being able to "hack" people's minds mid battle which only seems to work when the game feels it should let you. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but I get constant reminders that "You can hack civilian minds to turn tide by surprising enemies" -- yet the actual OPTION to do so never arises. Tutorial at the start of the game mentions L3+R3 to leave your body and become a Wanderer, yet it doesn't actually work outside the tutorial. *shrugs* Probably just me. Once you damage the enemy enough you can "hack" their mind and turn them to your side, fighting the enemy, but it doesn't really seem to DO anything except add an exceptionally weak NPC to your battle, who then promptly dies a few moments later. The areas are barren and ugly, not to mention absolutely tiny like combat arenas, and the game is broken up with loading screens/sections galore. Worse is that any weapons you pick up in battle are immediately lost when you walk through a door into the next area, necessitating that you find them all again. Umm... what?
Lastly the game plays just like a MP shooter (right down to the "Player <weapon-here> Enemy" kill list on the left-hand side) with laughable RPG "aspects" tacked on just because everyone else is doing it. You can't pause the game and if you try to the game just carries right on kicking your arse while you're in the "pause" menu -- which is absolutely fine in an MMO (it works great in Phantasy Star Online) but in a plot-driven TPS it's jarring to say the least. So far the only "RPG aspects" I've seen are the perks you unlock at predetermined levels, which you can assign to enhance your character slightly ---- though to do so means you have to quit the game and drop to the title menu. Again; umm... what?
So far, I don't like it. Seeing the comments and similarities drawn between this and Deus Ex/Alpha Protocol, I was excited - but after playing it? I want my bandwidth and time back. This is NOTHING like those games, not even remotely similar in any way. IMO. This is a very poor excuse for an RPG and a laughable example of how NOT to code a TPS and how .. nor did it appear to have QA or bug-testing whatsoever, or if it did then the developers are cruel bastards who think people are stupid enough to pay £50 for this shit and just accept the glaring faults/issues. Good ideas, lousy implementation, lacklustre visuals, horrid performance. Give this a miss and save yourself £50 or the bandwidth.
Let it be known, however, that I'm playing the PS3 version. For all I know, the X360 version is probably as smooth as a baby's arse (both in terms of aliasing AND framerate) with far more responsive controls that can be tweaked properly, better voice acting, the ability to assign your "perks" while in-game, the option to pause the action like 99.99% of every other game in existence... and finally the omission of the bizarre Twilight Zone-esque vanishing weapons when you walk through a door way into the very next room.
.... but I doubt it.
@Piggymouth
I had no troubles getting this to work either mate. Hermes v4b-PSN/MultiMAN.
1. Extracted from archives.
2. Immediately replaced the PARAM.SFO (PS3_GAME) and EBOOT.BIN (PS3_GAME\USRDIR\) with the ones from the included archive.
3. Loaded MultiMAN in Patched Mode.
4. FTPed the data across using FlashFXP.
5. Mounted it from inside MultiMAN while in Patched Mode (I leave it active all the time, never seems to hurt anything) and loaded from XMB with disk in the drive.
I didn't even get the "requires 3.50" prompt since it had already been sorted with the included PARAM.SFO.
