Umm.
The JAP version got released today for PS2 but there is no PC version.
If there is, Konami have totally forgot to advertise a release date, and I doubt they would do that.
So in other words, he is most likley leeching the ps2 version.

Man i love MGS, i have MGS1 and MGS2 original, but i so do hope there will be a PC version, coz i'm really not in the mood to pay 70 euro for a game which has no MP and mediocre graphics, the SP is... well.. it's worth the money no doubt, but i just can't afford it at this point, btw my PS2 is in real bad condition, last game i played on it was FFX.

i like to play games, and after MGS2 the last thinf you could call it was playable.
Was more like an rolling demo that you just watched.
with all the movies ripped, it would suprise me if it fit on a couple of floppys.

Afaik, the PS2 has two version of MGS2, MGS2 and the MGS2 Substance, Konami came with a combined MGS2 + MGS2 Substance release for the PC.

substance = an "expansion" pack although you dont need the frst 1 to play the second. It was released at around 15£ because MGS2 on its own was so small. Good marketing releasing it cheap but crap how it was released so short . Anyway what's this doing open? if i opened a topic saying S.T.A.L.K.E.R-FLT it would be locked instantly, this is obviously fake so lock it.

He meant to say it is a stealth based game in a forest like environment. FUCK SPLINTER CELL IS A STEALTH GAME MGS IS A STEALTH GAME!
And mgs 3 is hell of a great game better than the 2nd one and maybe that's why he compared it to another amazing stealth title. SPLINTER CELL!

I don't think that it is possible to so seriously take each and every thing written on the internet as a fact. I do not consider a forum as a "chat room" and I don't use irc like you, religiously.
If a game was realistic to the point where you can say that's exactly how it is then game wouldn't be fun. Trust me on this one. Only detail people do care about is in the story line, the visuals and the game play. The whole mentality of the sociopath running through a hallway with a knife means nothing to gamers. No one gives a fuck if a game uses proper codenames and military terms because most gamers are kids and they don't know shit! You don't have a seventeen year old homosexual playing a game going "hey that's wrong"

So now your putting words into my mouth? Your gathering up ideas of me saying stealth games rely 100% on gameplay when I say they play a big part of it? Like I said... go see SC or Manhunt. They do rely a heavy part yes, but not all the ways. Now MGS is different, its just minimal stealth and you dont even need to use it at all. In games like SC or Manhunt, you almost always need to use it to get by. Show me a video of where you can beat it with guns blazing even on one level? Trip a wire, or get caught with turrets, game ends. Now with MGS, its different. It doesnt force you to use stealth.
