Hi guys,
I don't want to be pessimistic but i've read on several french xbox360 forums that the new games (Fable 3, Sims3) don't boot on the new dashboard (they are on the last beta dashboard, but high risk it stays like that with the official release)
To summarize:
With old dashboard, old and new backup work.
With new dashboard, old backup work but new ones don't boot...
Looks like new ISO games include new security information that only the new dashboard check ? Future will tell ...

Yeah, but games released after the new dash, will probably require the new dash. Only reason I've ever updated my 360.

Just to add:
The guy who made these trials is on the 12607 beta dashboard and made the experiment on 2 different xbox who have different drives (both LT 1.1)
Weird...

From what ive read on XS, people with the official beta dash arn't having any problems. But those who's installed the leaked version are having issues. Possibly because it doesn't have certain avatar features.
These should be rectified once the new dash is rolled out, they can properly update and then get back to normal.
I could be wrond though..

Why does this stupid Microshit even bother with new checks? It's just the matter of updating the firmware. Don't they EVER learn, that people WILL use backups?

fable doesnt boot for me and ive got the official beta dash. my drive has lt1.2 on it now, tried with ixtreme 1.6 non stealth and didnt work with that either. might be cos my liteon died and im using as benq thats spoofed as a liteon. also used the xval program and it says failed the api 25 challenge (if i remember right).
The night is dark and the road is long. Come on dead men, return to your homes.

I think they have been pretty good with the whole thong TBH, especially compared to Sony that will soon sue their own mothers. Can´t blame MS for making it harder can we?

Yeah, the average enduser will NEVER see that AP25 message, it's buried in the internal logs on the 360. You need certain tools and know-how to even get access - so while it could be the AntiPiracy 2.5 bit raising it's ugly head... the average person will never know and will just see "Disk is unreadable" error.

I have the Official Dash preview and still on 1.6. Fable 3 Boots fine for me. I have no issues with any games to be honest.

Well i have the leaked dash and fable 3 boots just fine. then again, my xbox doesnt go online and i wavepatch all my games down to wave 3 anyway
