Possible, yes.
Hard? Pretty much?

Got no luck doing that with the games I have atm (Splinter Cell: Omega Strain and Battlefield 2).
One PS2 is Fat and one is Slim, both complain about "pirated disc" thingy (forgot what it says exactly) when I try to enter the network menu after disk swap.
Slim is "SCPH-77004" and Fat is "SCPH-30004 R".
I remember reading something like that only the single player games (aka 007) are quaranteed to work, am I shit out of luck and need to go out to find one or anyone got any good ideas?

use the mc hack, all you need is a memory card and a chipped console to install the stuff on the mc. works afterwards with any ps2 console afaik

I guess that would be the easiest choice, if I only have a friend with modded PS2 lol.

Have a look around on the net, see if people are still offering Installation Services. I know quite a few on PSX-Scene used to offer Free MCBoot services - you simply post off your MC and they'll send it back modded for you. Usually free, you just pay postage. You can even buy Swap Magic, that will work too.

Dang is retired but try one of the emails, you might get lucky.
