i have been playing heavy rain for a little while now and it has been great but now when it is at the loading screen showing the guy with the beards face it wont load the guys face will move around and i can exit the game but it wont load. has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it.
I had that problem a couple of times with the retail game (long before the PS3 was hacked)
have you tried just quitting / rebooting and re-loading the game.
It was (maybe still is) buggy in the first place.

Strangely enough, I never had a single issue while I was playing (sans patch, too) I read about freezing and out-of-sync issues with the game, or even stuttering/frame skipping - but I guess I got VERY lucky as I didn't have a single issue from start to finish. At least now with v3/v4 or PL3 payloads, you can update on-the-fly and with no issues -- so I recommend updating the game as much as you can.
