It was tragic, esp. when people just walked/ran past a woman on the ground out cold. And if she did die it's even more tragic.

The issue is that the guy is probably going to serve some 18 years (I read it in some news articles) for homicide, when in fact it is completely disproportional, if you look at the video, you can clearly see that they both provoked each other, the women slapped the guy and the guy punched her back.
If she ended up dying, it was most likely either due to an pre existing condition or something else, the probability of dying from a punch to the face should be like 1 in 10 million or something, the guy merely responded to the mutual provocation.
He had no intention of killing anyone, it is completely ridiculous if he ends up serving any time at all, worst case scenario, it could be obliged to do some community service for aggressive violence.
It is indeed tragic that she died, but serve time, for a responsive punch?

He was the sole reason she died. You can argue all you want about how it was her fault for starting the brawl but action leads to reaction, in this case death. He has to take responsibility whether he meant it or not.
With the explanation it comes off as somewhat misogynistic. :/

How is he the sole reason she died? She HIT him! How does she go free of responsibility in this case? I don't know if your reasoning is misogynistic because you seem to regard the woman as blameless because she's a woman, or misandrynistic (wow there's a word I've never seen before) for the same reason.
If I hit you, and you hit me back and I die, are you solely responsible for my death? What if I poke my tongue at you and then hit you? What if I kick you, hit you, call your mother a whore, and spit on your cat? Where do you draw the line?

Who the fuck knows what happened? He might have cheated on her, she might have cheated on him, he might have said something stupid, she might have mocked him about his small penis, NOBODY KNOWS!
So there is no point in arguing whose fault it is. It's sad that she died, and he has to face consequences. She already got her consequences... If 18 years is too much, well, a law court will have to find out...

That's where lawyers comes in. They can claim mitigating circumstances to lower the severity of the punishment. But it's STILL the one who caused the death who has to take responsibility for his actions whether provoked or not.
And misandrynistic, did you just invent that word to use in your argument? 
Besides, if you check the clip (with lost frames due to low frame rate) you can see the guy making a movement as if he smacked her right before she lashed out at him and ended with him knocking her out cold on the stone floor.
And if I killed you with one hit after you did those things to me, I'd go to jail. There might be mitigating circumstances that would turn the case into manslaughter, but that's not the point. I'd still have to take the consequences of my actions, not blame it on anybody else.

Women: you use words against them in some manner or form, if its to be little or snide remarks in other ways and you go carry on your day walking along,, ( words this is, they dont physically harm you really eh), and what happens ?

Same old, he defended himself i see it from physical abuse, she attacked him in that manner due to a verbal abuse (maybe), the days have gone for the most part of women thinking they have some immunity to being treated same back just because of the frame size or "gender", the wanting years of being equal has arrived and if your still too blind to not treat others as you expect to be treated take the fucking fall ...
She should of just mouthed off at him and left it at that... (equal) she crossed the line when she brought her hands to his body..
