Some games I play are okay and some are not, where the fuck does this shuttering come from or why does it happen?

I got a decent spec of a computer and can run games pretty well so its not that I just thought I'd ask you guys as I'm shit at this sorta thing!

in my opinion games are not best optimized ,this stuttering is very annoying to flightsimulators when you have dogfight with someone for example

also there are games that run good but in places that there are bunch of objects you
see many times this stuttering even if you have super pc

thats why many times after the release they release updates trying to make it smoother
and balanced between cpu gpu and internet connection but with no succeed because they need time and money so .....

a brilliant example is flaming cliffs the game its the worst game in optimization
they claim for example that its cpu hungry but that is lie
because i have tried it with many cpus with many gpus and many giga of ram and different
windows

@Oddmaker Stuttering comes usually from low memory (the game has to swap assets from the memory to the swap file and load new files into memory from the HDD) or from a fragmented hard drive. Since you say you have a good PC (not sure what the specs are, but 4 GB RAM is more than enough), then I suggest running a program like O&O Defrag or something similar to defrag your HDD properly.

Some games are just badly optimized. It does not matter how good your PC is and how much you lower the settings, some games will stutter. Now that the PC gets more and more crappy ports, in which the gfx/performance ratio is totally fucked, we can expect to see more stuttering.
Which games are we talking about?

Do the following when you install and play any game so if there is any stuttering you know its from the game ( Engine not optimized , scripting bugs.....etc) and Not a fault you made to slow the game down or to stutter :

1 - Always Have an empty Partition used for gaming and nothing
installed on it except the games you play ( i prefer to install one game at a time and complete it then uninstall and install the next game i am planing to play , i dont play 2 games at the same time Smile

2 - Remove the Indexing Service from this partition.

3 - install Latest Directx , C++ redis , Display Driver , Physx and motherboard Update ( a lot of people overlook motherboard updates )

4 - install the game

5 - After Installation is finished Use a Defrag Prog ( I use O&O Proff Ed )

6 - Make an Exclusion Or exception to the gaming Partition in The Anti Virus You use (For example in case if you are using NOD32 like i do , if the gaming partition is F: , enter setup ---> click on Entire Advanced Setup Tree --->Antivirus and antispyware---->Exclusions----->Add---> select F: (in the selection screen add *.* so it will be like that { F:*.* } to exclude on the fly scaning for the F and all subfolders .

7 - If you are an Ati User like me try to fiddle a little with the following options in the catalyst Control settings ( if you have STUTTER )

- Anti Aliasing is set to application settings
- Anisotropic is set to application settings
- vertical refresh Off unless application specifies
- disable Catalyst AI
- 3D Refresh rate Override --->disabled

8- Sometimes some games needs lowering the sound Acceleration in windows settings one notch to left Or lowering the frequency (For Example from 48000 to 44000 )

9 - Maybe you need to upgrade the Display and more ram will help Too . Very Happy

And OFCOURSE some games are Badly optimized (i.e Gothic 3 ) and you have to Wait official AND fan patches to have the optimum result Very Happy

That's it Smile that is my method when i install and play a game To minimize Stuttering and to speed up loading and to lower the Hard Disk Access frequency.
