So the recent link poster in the movies section actually made me wonder. Downloading TV shows isn't generally seen as piracy or illegal, even here in the states if it's from cable tv IE fx, abc, fox, tnt, usa etc etc, but only if it's from HBO and the likes.

So with that said, is it actually that big of a deal posting public tv show links?

It still is piracy and it still is illegal. The broadcaster isn't making advertising dollars off of it if you are downloading the shows.

downloading tv shows is DEFINATELY seen as piracy, wtf yo.

besides, im all for keeping this a link-free forum, for keeping out most of the riff-raff and smacktards.

also, its a slippery slope once we let ONE kind of pirated content to be posted...

It's still not a risk worth taking imo.

tv streams like on abc/imdb/nbc aren't piracy. people thought they were legal forms of piracy. but they streams offer adverts and constant revenue to broadcasters.

Very Happy

Sorry man but fuck, that was a classic statement for us NA's here.

And u know how its, we Canucks and you Yanks love ragging on each other. Its all in good fun.
I don't dislike Americans (generally speaking, I've met some assholes in the US...but thats not because they are Yanks, its because they are asshole you know?

I like the good, fun oriented rivalries Canada and the US has. It makes international competitions fun.
U know when the two favourites for whatever sport are Canadian and American and one of em is going to win, its so much more fun. Cuz if we win, we can tease you guys and vise versa.
Its all in good fun considering we are best friends (our countries). We may disagree on little things, but we are more than allies, we're cousins.
Just the the English are to Canadians. They are our Cousins from Europe. Same goes for the French.

But during the Olympics (if you watched), when Canada played Russia (thats not a friendly rivalry in hockey, Canada and the Ruskies are mortal enemies in hockey terms)
your telling me u Yanks weren't cheering for us?
Of course.
Shit...goes back to Summit Series in 72.

I don't mind losing to Sweden or the US (only two teams who have a chance in hell in beating us in international tournaments), but losing to the Ruskies....no, thats not acceptable.
They Russians are really good, but we will always better.

Btw, I cheer for the US and Sweden too during the international tournies (as long as they aren't playing Canada). The Swedes have gotten really good in the last few years and the US team usually does good.

My point is tho (sorry, stoned), Canada and the US are like 2 best friends...always wanting to beat each other just so we can be childish and tease each other in good fun.
We have the biggest trading relationship in the world. The US can survive with out our resources and we need American companies to succeed so they can open up here ya know?
A true symbiotic relationship.

Smile
PS
Don't get bent or anything if I'm kidding with ya. Ur my cousin in a sense ya know? Family teases each other. Just like I like doing to the UK guys on here. I love the English. They are our cousins who live across the oceans.

To bad the English suck at hockey. That would be a good touney...just 3 teams, Canada, US and England. It'd be great, tons of good natured teasing and taunting Smile

Like most of my family lives in the US and are American.

Yeah, in the round robin...but we beat you in the Gold Medal Game Very Happy

The team had to get into the grove. All our lines were filled with best players in the NHL. When you have that many superstars, it takes a few games for them to mesh.

Still, I'd rather lose to you Yanks than to the Russians. When it comes to hockey, Canada vs Russia is not a joke ya know? Like its serious.
Like English soccer fans rioting serious.

And if Canada were knocked out, I'd cheer for the US and Sweden.

U know who's starting to get good? Finland. Made respects to the Fins for there performance this year. I think they took 3 or 4. Thats awesome for Finland.
Considering the international tournies basically consistent of Canada being the team to beat, Then the US and Sweden....and the damn Russians (I like russians, just not when it comes to hockey)

U you should watch the world junior championships this year man. Its the best part of Christmas. Starts boxing day.

Cuz most of the guys who play on Canada, the US or Sweden make it into the NHL.

Like buddy who is captain of the Blackhawks and won them the Stanley cup..a year or two before he was one of the superstars on the IIHF Tourney.

Jerome Igilna was on the Canadian IIHF team. So many of toays superstars come from that tourney.

What it man. Starts boxing day. But only watch the Canadian, US and Swedish games. Fuck the Russians and there is no else....well, Finland may have a shot at 3rd this year.

Thats one tourney we Canadians ALWAYS expect to win. Fuck, I think we have won the last 5 or 6 in a row.

usually. Or Canada and Sweden or Us and Sweden, Unless all 3 teams have a really bad performance, its always those three.
One year Canada wins, the next the US, the next Sweden.
With the IIHF tourney being the exception. Its like the olympics. We take that shit seriously. But if we have to lose, losing to sweden or the US is acceptable.

As long as Canada or the US beats the Russians, I'm fine with it.

Watch the IIHF this year man. Starts Dec 26th

International Ice Hockey Federation.
But the one that starts boxing day is the junior one...and by junior I mean kids under 20 who are in OHL, CHL,WHL etc

They play there hearts out because if they do good, its almost for sure you will see guys rom the US, Canada and Sweden in the nhl a year or two later.

Its great entertain and athletic showcase.,

Best part of the Christmas season.
I suggest watching only the American and Canadian and Swede teams. The rest...Russia has a shot like always and the Fins maybe a contender this year.

But like don't bother watching the Italians or teams like that....its boring as fuck, have friends who could school Belarus and those shit teams.

EDIT
U maybe also wanna watch the Russian gamss. I don't cause in hockey terms they are enemy.
Like sometimes you loose. But the friendly rivalry between the US and Canada and Sweden is cool.

Not sure but I think lst year the u guys beat the Russians. And thats almost as bad as us kicking the Russians.
I watch the American teams. Cuz on the rare occasion we get eliminated, it falls t Sweden and the US to kill the Russian

I think it was durng the summer Paul Henderson (the guy who scored that Bobby Orr like goal) sold for like a million bucks.

Seriously man, watch the International Ice Hockey Tourney. Only watch the US and Canadian games. If Sweden makes the elimination rounds, thats watch them'
Up to you if u wanna watch the russians. I refuse to unless they are playing Canada, US or Sweden

Laughing

If the glass breaks, its because of poor craftsman ship on that board. My dad used to work for a company that made hockey areas.
He made the Air Canada Center and a bunch more. He used to make the boards. Like from nothing to bam, hockey board ya know. Worked with him at that company for a while.

I love this time of year...CFL is going into the playoffs (only time I watch the CFL...Canadian football...a joke...3 downs....wtf is that dude? u NEED that 4th down), Hockey has started, NFL is in full swing...Sept to Jan is the best. NFL football and NHL Hockey.
Beer, Pizza, hotdogs, chips.....perfect.

Like I told my girl before the NFL started, Sundays I'm in football mode from 1pm to 11pm.
And she;s awesome, every sat she stocks up on this cheese and spinch dip i love, chips, beer, the 4pm game we order a Pizza and the 8pm game its whatever we are in the mood for.
And she makes beer runs for me (I like intermission bater and the stats and shit u know??
If thats not the best time of year, then i dunno ya know what is)

And she watches it with me. Last weekend I got a bj while watching the Giants....she;s aweomse.
Cuz in her words "men need sports and either woman can resent it and fght or do the one thing with him that he likes and I don;t mind as long as we cuddle while we watch t
