|
 |
I'd like to create a section for a website that shows 4-5 items that will be updated regularly.
A great example of what I need can be seen o the Asus website:
http://usa.asus.com/index.aspx
They made it without using flash and I would like to do the same thing. Can some link me a tutorial or help me get started?
Thanks in advance.

What language in? JavaScript, PHP, JSP, ASP ...?
And what will be the backend (where the data comes from)? A Database, XML flat file ...

Well he says he wants to do it in flash, so I assuming ActionScript.
A database would be easiest to do this, because you can just take the last few posts/content/etc by post/edit/update date.

I assumed that him saying "They made it without flash" would mean that he could've done something similar with flash but would like to do it like they did it without Flash

I don't really care about which language, but I would prefer an XML file for the backend.

The website is made with asp and I'd like to achieve the same functionality and style as in the Asus website above WITHOUT using flash.

The AviaSlider can work, but they all cost money. Anywhere I can get something like that for free?
EDIT: Nevermind, Coinslider is pretty cool and free! Thanks!
