I dont know if this was discussed before but EA SPORTS for the next five years has licensing agreement with the National Football League and Players Inc. to develop, publish, and distribute interactive football games.

Therefore EA SPORTS will be making the ONLY! NFL GAME.

I think this good, they do a superb job on the game: but what does this truly mean
Will prices rise?
Will the game slowly start to suck more and more since there is no compeitition?

Will this mean other companies will focus their attention towards other sports games such as NHL, NBA or MLB?
Give your thought.

No, there will be nothing. NO Blitz, No Gameday, No ESPN and especially no Streets. The other games can make football games...with fake player names. You can't using anything from the NFL, ie. players, logos, stadiums, and especially team names.

They're also trying to buy UBISOFT... Sad
ESPN cuts the price to $20 on sports games so EA does this so they can jack the price back up to $50 for the same shit every year.

i don't know how a monopoly like that can be allowed. that's fucking bullshit! i've never heard of some shit like that happening with video games. thank god i don't care about football or like football games but it really sucks for football gamers. they'll get less quality for more money now.
