Pretty simple question, which is your fav. gothic game, and why?
For me, it's a tossup between g2 (nostalgia), g3(world) and Risen (combat). But I think G3 comes out on top, because of the truly huge open world, in which I truly felt alive.
Why did I add Arcania to the mix? ... well, you never know when someone from the console section wanders by.

I like Gothic 2 a little more than 1 and 3. Though one without the other can't exist, so 1, 2 and 3 are equal in some way for me, it's just that I liked a little more the 2nd one. Arcania has more votes than Gothic 1... what... the... fuck?!

I wont vote because I still haven't played Gothic 1,2 and 3.
So far it's Risen, but that will surely change.

I enjoyed G2 the most, but G3, G1 and Risen were also good. G3 missed something though. Arcania should not even be on that list.

Gothic 2 was fantastic in its time, played it to death back then. But by todays standards a bit clunky. Risen is what comes closest to the original Gothics and has a good engine, imho.
Whats this "Arcania" you speak of? ...

Uhm, I so hate this kind of thinking: "these days it's a bit like that, not enough that for these days, so not this one". The thing is that this poll is supposed to be with which one you like the most, not which one is better by today's standards.

If you use Nvidia and are on Win7 64 or VISTA64, you should try the (2010.09.14) 260.63 beta driver available here:

Yes, 26 out of 52 pirates prefer Gothic 2, I bet that would work well. |

Nah bro, I got a ATI HD5770. The funny thing is that I played Gothic 2 for like 2 hours a couple weeks ago before this problem appeared.
