So, my brother has my old PC, and the PSU decided to give in and go out with a nice bang..
So now, he needs a new one, I don't quite remember what PSU I had, but I think it was a 500 or 550W one.
Now, is 400W enough for this, or should I get a 500W just to be sure? I will buy a 80+ certified one, in any case.

2 S-ATA HDDs
Some PCI soundcard

A decent 450W unit should be fine. Get 550 if you want a bit of headroom to possibly upgrade some part later on

A classic Corsair 450 or 550 VX (they're 80+) should be enough for years to come.

350w is more than enough and all depends on how much amps psu has, 500 is overkill unless u plan to sli later

450VX is best buy for the money imo...

My HTPC has runned now years with 300w antec PSU which came with the antec NSK case.
