I have samsung N150. Cpu 1,66 atom N450
1gb ddr2
intergrated intel GMA3150.
I have windows 7 installed. It runs 1024x600 and most of games do not support this res correctly. But its not a problem. Intel control panel allows to take control of scaling just like nvidia and I can easily play 800x600 and other 4:3 resolutions with black borders on sides to keep correct aspect...
Normally I got gaming pc and x360 for most games. But I am taking it too school and just using it for boredom in bed and whatsoever.
Tried Super Meat boy, World of Goo, Braid, vvvvvv, Dosbox works allright. And also Syberia type games works.

Skulltag ?

(multiplayer and singleplayer Doom-based port, uses the original data files)
EDIT: Oh, wait, I'mm not sure it supports your integrated card. I think software renderer should work fine.

Then the time has come to finally play it
I'd also suggest System Shock 2 and Fallout 1/2.
BTW, this could help you:

I think KB is bit too steep for 3150 GMA. It runs barely 20-30fps on 3470 radeon, which is much better notebook card.

Nethack, Angband (and all of it's derivates), ToME, dungeon crawl stone soup, Doom RL, Doom 1 & 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Iji, Cave Story, La Mulana, Liberal Crime Squad, (I suppose Dwarf Fortress would run like crap sooner or later), Minesweeper (more fun than it should be), Puzzle Quest, about everything a NES/SNES/GBA/Sega emulator can run, if you got an internet connection and about an hour or so of time Space Station 13.
And of course everything that was mentioned before.

What's the ScummVM system requirements like these days? That ought to keep you busy for a while if it does work.
FWIW, I thought Torchlight was childish crap. You're much better off with Diablo I & II (and II has some great mods like Eastern Sun if you're bored with vanilla).

Someone posted earlier, that GMA 945 is much better than 3150. |
|
|
Actually, they should be pretty much the same (with 3150 being slightly better).
Of course, if you compare netbook versions of it. Those GMAs on regular motherboards work on higher clocks, and thus perform better.

I was talking about a laptop with GMA, not a netbook. Do laptops also have reduced clocks ?

Sure. But it is even more for netbooks.
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-950.2177.0.html
Quote: | The GMA 950 is integrated in the following chipsets with different rendering clock rates (that affect the 3D performance):
* 945GU: 133 MHz (Lakeport for Intel A100 and A110)
* 945GSE: 166 MHz (for Atom)
* 945GMS: 166 MHz / 250 MHz (1.05V)
* 940GML 166 MHz / 200 MHz (1.05V) - Celeron M (ULV)
* 943GML: 200 MHz
* 945GM: 250 MHz (Calistoga)
* 945G, 945GC, 945GZ: 400 MHz (Lakeport) |
That's 50% higher clock in regular laptops.
P.S.
400MHz is in desktop variant.
