Anyone here using a Radeon 9800 card with multiple monitors on FreeBSD with XFree86?
I can get it to work, but the moment I enable xinerama, the second screen is very ugly. The mouse isnt a mouse, its a big square, whenever i move something to and from that screen it leaves the trails, its not ugly, its unreadable/workable.
My question is, has anyone got a radeon 9xxx card with dual-head working correctly under BSD? Or got tips?

So you can only clone the screen? Anything else doesnt work?
What version of Xfree86 are you using, and what drivers for the gfx card.
Im am currently running FreeBSD 5.1 with a Radeon 9500Pro, but i only
have one monitor, so i cant try it, sorry.

I was running the latest one, snap 4.3.99 i think it was, and yes I cant do anything else then clone.. anything else just fucks up with the second screen.
I was using ati and radeon (tried both) with and without drm loaded.

This is just a guess.. From what Ive seen xfree doesnt use duel desktops, it uses horizontal span to increase the desktop res allowing you to use duel screens. Now, ATI does not support horizontal span, not too sure why, but it doesnt.
Sorry I couldnt help fix the problem, but that could be the reason why it isnt working.
