hey guys, how do i rename a file like this: The_Black_Keys_-_Rubber_Factory_-_01_-_When_the_Lights_Go_Out.flac to something like this: 01 - When the Lights Go Out.flac unfortunately there's no id tags with the files, and so far ive just been doing the renaming manually.. i have about 2000 more files to go, and was hoping someone knows a proggie that does this.. thanks in advance..

If you download Directory Opus 8 from http://www.dopus.com then you can get a complete replacement for Windows Explorer which offers unrivalled power for managing files. It can also rename files based upon regular expressions, so it can handle what you want to do quite easily. If you decide to get it, let me know and I'll post instructions on how to do it.

thanks guys. but the 2 renamer proggies above only works with .mp3 files. i need something for flac and ogg. Opus 8 looks nice, maybe i'll try that. is there a renamer proggy for flac or ogg that also supports CDDB?

To save starting a new thread, thought i would ask my question in this one.. as its mp3 related.. I grab loads of reggae mp3's all the time and being an unorganised sod i just bung them all in one folder.. As i play the files i'd like a util that will allow me to physically del the crap ones (not delete from the playlist but from the hd) any ideas of a good playr that will allow this?

itunes...choose clear and it will ask you if you want to delete the song not only from the library but from the hd jesus christ was a gangsta rapper. they killed him. he came back and made a platinum album.
