In the game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, players will return
to Hogwarts to help Harry survive a fraught sixth year. They will also have
a chance to engage in exciting wizard duels, mix and brew magical ingredients
in Potions class and take to the air to lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team
to victory. Players may even get sidetracked by Ron’s romantic entanglements
as they journey towards a dramatic climax and discover the identity of the
Half-Blood Prince.

MINIREVIEW
Downloaded it, installed it, and finished in about 3 hours. Not only is this the worst and most oversimplified HP game ever, but even the shortest one.
The quiddich is laughable, you just fly in a predetermined path going through gates.
The duelling is piss-easy. You just stun the enemy and spam the attack spell or charge to max when you get the option. Never lost to anyone, not even the death eaters at the end.
Potion-making is the only half-decent attempt at gameplay here, but even that isn't good enough to worth playing for.
I can't really remember any other actual gameplay. The rest is just going from one place to another (which is extremely boring and that Nick ghost always shows the way), you can collect crests as well, but that's as much fun as...well, as any other generic collecting in other games.
So basicly this game is 3 extemely lame and easy minigames tied together with an equaly lame exploration gameplay. The animations are bad, the character models are stiff but they at least actually look like the real actors.
Obviously a quickly put together movie-game for some quick cash-in. No suprises there. It was amusing to watch the actors hype the game in the "making of" videos, after playing it, it became hillarious...in a sad way.

Damn I'm stuck at making the EUPHORIA potion. I know I'm taking the right bottle but everytime I put it in it creates smoke and the worst part is that it is the last step .. damn it. Can anyone help here?
1 and 2 are still amazing.

last game was half decent with better gfx..this one has too much blur "next gen" and the game play as people b4 me said blows. I am a huge potter fan even in my thirties so i just enjoyed the world and nothing more.

Wasn't this the title they kinda made into a shooter instead of the usual action adventure mix from the previous titles?
(Haven't followed it, might watch the movies once it's all out but it seems they're splitting them - 3 or what's left - in parts now for various reasons.)

i played all previous HP games, and ever since the 4th series the game sucked. Seriously. The only HP game series i enjoyed was 1-3, where it was more of like exploration style then dumbed down shit from 4th onwards.
