You can't say that you actually was shocked to hear this? The original Sims had too many add-ons to remember, and every feature that gamers went "hmm, this should've been in The Sims 2" is probably going to end up in an add-on.

Freaking gay. and funny how in the designer journal theres a quote that says it all "It's exciting for us to move on to the expansion packs. Not just because it means that we've put the main game to bed (although this is a fantastic feeling!)" So once again the new money hungry maxis focuses on whats really important, the bottom dollar. Instead of doing whats right, like actually adding some stuff that was missing in the game, they release a few gay holiday decorations, say fuck the gamers, lets make some more money.
It's funny cuz i was really on the verge of putting money down for the sims2 cuz i thought it was worth it to have access to download new things from their website and so on. But just like the sims 1, these greedy bastards take a big giant dump on the gaming community by saying 'you want more of the sims? well go buy the expansion pack, suckers.'
yeah not a surprise but still. i hope will wright gets anally raped on his way to his new ferrari.
