That's what I'm thinking! Where the hell do you pick up a date with aids? Unless you're dating in Africa... I don't think he's really dating in Somalia however. Most people in poor African countries are very young, they don't grow very old. Because of disease, poverty, war or a concurrence of various other kinds of shittyness.
