FALLING SKIES is an exciting new series from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Noah Wyle (ER, TNT’s The Librarian movies) stars as a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) co-stars as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. The series also stars Drew Roy (Lincoln Heights) as Hal and Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters) as Matt, Tom’s two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds) as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group’s commissary. Will Patton (Armageddon, TNT’s Into the West) will play a recurring role as a fierce resistance fighter.
We'll have to wait until summer 2011, but hey it looks interesting. I just hope it won't be like skyline

So it's a kids' show? They let some teenager call the shots AND have a therapist for the whiny brats, too? What the hell, you don't have time to cry and moan, grab a rifle and shoot some alien bastards, this is Red Dawn times a thousand, not some teen social issues bullshit show!
No shit, if it ain't a teen bullshit dramah, it won't sell. Haven't you noticed how everything has to be about retarded teens? Even professors/detectives/scientists are always some hotties in their 20s.

I'm glad i'm not the only one getting fucking pissed off by this trend.

lol what a shit start to a series ... really slow and boring imo i hope its only suposed to be 1 series because if not its another tv show thats going to get canned
If snoop hates it, then it's definitely worth a watch. "really slow and boring" sounds like, to me, "waaaaah, there's no pew pew pew exploshuns!!!" and that is already enough to pique my interest Thanks snoop!
The basic premise of these movies are all very, very wrong. If an invading army, has technology, that can propel them here, to our planet, at faster than light travel (which probably is the final frontier of science, if at all possible AND if at all feasible - which I fear it never will be) then surely they also have kick ass biological weapons, that they could release, and it only activates, when it recognizes a certain DNA string. It should also have a latency between contamination and death, making sure all of humanity catches it, before even the first victim. Then boom, they drop like flies, leaving everything behind intact. No reason to potentially lose thousands of your soldiers.
