Set in a futuristic utopia, an elite peacekeeping force thwarts the rumblings of civil war. But deception within the ranks has caused two members of the most feared unit to strike out on their own. Now stranded on an abandoned paradise, Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs. As Grayson Hunt, players wield an arsenal of over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns that feed into Bulletstorm's distinct 'skillshot' system producing unprecedented levels of frantic gameplay and yell-inducing satisfaction.

This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a space pirate who must escape a planet populated by mutant cannibals. Players use futuristic machine guns, shotguns, magnum revolvers, assault rifles, and chain guns to perform over-the-top kills that dismember and decapitate foes. Injured enemies emit large sprays of blood that stain the ground and surrounding walls. Specialty kills (i.e., Skillshots) represent the most intense instances of violence: enemies can be dismembered with explosives; impaled on spikes; and drilled into walls, resulting in body parts breaking into pieces. During the course of the game, players can consume alcohol and kill enemies in order to receive an Intoxicated Skillshot; the screen turns blurry during these sequences. The dialogue contains numerous jokes and comments that reference sexual acts, venereal diseases, and having sex with one's mother (e.g., "Guess I know where the ol' gal got that limp."). The names of some Skillshots are infused with sexual innuendo (e.g., Gag Reflex, Rear Entry, Drilldo, Mile High Club); one Skillshot (i.e., Fire in the Hole) allows players to shoot at enemies' exposed buttocks. Language such as "f**k," "sh*t," "p*ssy," and "c*ck" can be heard in dialogue.

From what I've read the demo for this and Crysis 2 are now available via a more detailed A-Z view compared to the default, can't confirm it myself though but should be available.

people can fly are amazing. they made painkiller which is the best FPS of the year when it came out. Run and Gun with a shitty story to back. No need for lame shit. Good old time FPS feel. this, looks like Epic got to them, gave them money, and made it GAY! If it feels like a solid FPS +1 if not then FUCK THEM!

what can i say , drepa and his gang turned this into a score hunt , sometimes the actual fonts are so big you don't see what are you shooting , i piss on this , lets hope you can disable this crap , I don't care about virtual score only about the story and from the big I have seen its Attack of BULLETPOINTS FONT SCREENS
people can fly are amazing at fps. painkiller was great. it's epic and that fag cliff cuntfucklastname and his crew decided to make it 'edgy' and what not. it's a solid feeling shooter and it does have that false sense of awesome adrenaline... but on top with the 'run' and the rest it shows what cliff and his gay crew told them to add because it's what sold gow. So, if epic didn't help with this, it could've been a fantastic shooter. right now it just feels supbar. a generic gow in first person. ARRRGH! It angers me. And I know the cats at pcf know that this game lost its awesome cause of epic. Why not just make another UT with COD style mp... oh wait... that's crysis2.
Right, because they originally announced Bulletstorm as the next Deus Ex killer and only a few days ago they turned it into a SS/PK score based FPS...
originally it was a Sci-fi FPS about mercenaries that crash landed on a planet and they way in escaping this desert rock , it was a game based on they new Painkiller engine that later would be used in Painkiller 2 ... but fuck no Cliffy drepa fuck B bought them and made them the PC PORTING CREW that ports 360 epic games to PC ... guess Cliffy fucktard found this IP they had been developing and changed the engine to CRAP unreal 3 block brown shit and changed the story line adding FUCK SHIT CUNT words and SKILL SYSTEM to make this game HIP

edit: and to add more info about it when some people inside heard about Epic there WHERE MAD and left People can Fly saying "we will not be sold to a half assed epic" and created they own studio "The Farm 51" it released two games Based on the new Painkiller Engine "Necrovision" and "Necrovision: Lost Company"
Didn't know about that untold history of Bulletstorm, but the first trailer made it clear that the game's nothing more than a mindless score based FPS. Witch could be fun, though the demo, with its over the top space-macho-redneck personality all up in your face, kindda made me hate it. Visually though the game looks great, better then Crysis 2 even! At least as far as x360 games go.
