Everyone looks at the smartphone with a raised brow. "What am I going to do with this thing? The screen is too small to watch videos on it, or surf the net, or play games, or keep a calendar, or read mail, or ............". "It's just an overglorified phone after all."
A month later, it's an inseparable device of your life. Even if not the mightiest, it will do so much still, that you will find it really challenging to live without after a while.

Urgh, cell phones look so complicated to me. Computers are easy, but this whole cell phone trend... So many types of phones, so many manufacturers, characteristics, specs, features and applications . I can't be bothered to keep up with it. I'll just stick to my easy Macbook. Which can probably do a whole lot more anyway.

When battery life will be good for at least 7 days WITH normal usage and i won't have to use it as a piece of porcelain (accidents happen in 2-3 years) then i'm going to buy one , till then i'll use my w810i till it dies , almost 5 years so far and it's still great.

Yeap, Android 2.2 at least or even better Android 2.3 are a must.
They are much faster than 2.1, especially on a not top of the line device, so any help counts.
Also rooting it for complete superuser access should be mandatory also.

For the samsung download the super cool (read extremely annoying pile of shit) software KIES from Samsung. Connect your phone to your PC via USB and it will check if there are updates for your phone Most likely not as Samsung does not give a rats ass about released phones

Don't go to 2.2 btw, heard lots of bugs in the beta. And make sure you follow instructions right, you don't want to brick your phone.

I do not understand. The ROM you are suing has a beta version of 2.2 Froyo?
