1. I wish there was, but there isn't.
2. Yes- my3G but it's not free (unless you get a cracked version)
A question of my own - when the fuck is 4.2.1 going to be broken? I don't want to have to plug in my iphone 4 every time I reboot it!

4.2.1? forget about it! 4.3 now is where it's going to be at since 4.3 is the next big one thats on its way and 4.2.1 was just bug fixes.

Waiting for a new FW is so stupid IMO... It's only a matter of a few weeks anyway until Apple releases a new update with tightened security, so the jailbreak won't be available for the newest FW anyway...

Yes, tethered.
But still jailbroken, that's important.

Yeah you need to back up your SHSH blob as soon as you get the phone so that way you can downgrade.
Glad i'm not on 4.2 because i've heard there are a lot of 3rd party app compatibility problems and a lot of stuff doesn't work beyond 4.1 right now.

It depends on the app and when they update it. 4.1 software running on a 4.2 system can be flakey. However, if the 3rd party recompiles using 4.2 everything should run fine down until 3.2.
I've been playing with the 4.3 beta at the minute. No huge changes for the stuff we (work) use it for.

Ok, so I had to format my PC. I saved my Itunes library and restored it, but still when I connect my Iphone, it says "already connected to another media library" and then it wants to delete my phone (at least all the apps). I do have a backup, so I could do that, but I just don't want to.
Also it's the same with my girlfriends Iphone, and I am definitely sure SHE doesn't want to reinstall every app.
So is there any way to make it work with my new PC without having to sync everything again?

Is it just file copying? Can't you then just jailbreak it and shove the files on your phone yourself?

Erm I hooked up a mate's iPhone to my laptop a while ago, installed iTunes for the occasion. It asked me to authorize the laptop to use with the phone, did you get that dialog?
iTunes still is a complete piece of shit though, I ended up having to fiddle in its config files to get it to update that phone (3GS)

I will be at my girlfriends parent's house for a few day to come. They do not have Wifi, only wired Internet. I am going to bring my laptop there, but is it possible to share the connection over Wifi for my Iphone in any way? The laptop will obviously be using the wired internet, so the wifi-adapter is unused.
Is there any software/app that will allow this?

For both Windows and OS X there are plenty of ways to set up a WiFi hotspot, just Google for "<Windows or OS X here> wifi hotspot"

Should be fine, yes. The apps are stored per-account and should transfer to any device you have synced to your machine on the same account.
