Even though i hate Timmay with his fucking stand and pray fight style, he deserves to be in top 10, he beat better fighters than Hunt did, and i think if he was healthy he would have won against Randy, and i hate the thought that he might get the belt again, but i think its very possible. I agree with those rankings, but Fedya wont be long in the first place unless he fights soon, and i hope he will, he is just such a great fighter, so explosive and exiting, its never a dull moment watching him fight.
ANd ufc 78 was sad, they expected us to pay 40 dollars for an UFN fights, fuck them. Most of the fights werent exiting, and the main even was the worst of them all, with such a deep talent pool, how can they put such a crappy shows is beyond me.

His name is Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic. CroCop (Croatian Cop) is his nickname, but i guess ufc likes it better than his real last name, so they just say Mirko CroCop.

Krest - Tim Sylvia has 29 professional fights under his belt in mma only, Hunt has 50 in pro Kickboxing, boxing & mma .. WHo has big Tim fought & beaten better than Mark ?

How about this .. do you think Big Tim would beat Barnett ?

Well Mark has only 8 mma fights, and mma is pretty different from K1. I dont know who will win between Timmah and Hunt, but i know for sure Timmah will not knock hunt out. Im thinking he would try to smother Hunt against the cage, like he did with Vera. But then again Hunt could easly knock Timmah out if he lands one of his punches. And again i hate Timmah, and the fight with Vera just proved it further for me, that Timmah is fucking boring. Even his freaking corner told him to pin Vera against the cage, and hold him there.
With Barnett, im pretty sure Josh would win if he takes Timmah down. Don't know if he can out strike him, and i think Timmah has the power to knock Josh out. But its not that easy, his size is a problem for everyone. I hope he loses to Nog in the upcoming fight, i just hate the thought of him being the champ again, but im thinking it will be a boring fight thanks to Timmah.

Curious Krest .. I don't see Tim as a possible contender against Fedor which i do see Barnett & Hunt as .. Though I do think a fight between Aleksander Emelianenko & Tim would be superb.

Well Fedor is on a level of his own. I think he would definitely take Timmah, kind of like a fight with Schlit. I just dont see any fight with Timmah as superb. He was exiting to watch when he was on roids, he actually tried to finish and was aggressive, now he is very passive and is just trying to ride out a decision. As i said i think he is a challenge for anyone due to his large size, no one is going to walk through him. I'd like to see Couture vs him again, since i do believe he was injured during the fight, but now Couture is on a high horse so i dont see it happening.
The fight with Aleks would be indeed interesting since they are both tall, but i think Aleks is much more technical fighter, for his size he moves pretty quick, and his strikes are very accurate, so I'd say Aleks takes it.

Krest .. We seem to agree for the most part then .. speaking of Schlit, just read that Fedor will take on Choi Hong-man on New years eve the 7' 2'' guy who beat Schlit.

What do you think of the upcoming Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir ? Personally i think Mir will fall like he has concrete in his pants, but it wont be a testament to Brock being a real contender for the heavyweight top spot. To me Brock will have to take down some world class strikers before I'm willing to think he can take & hold a belt.

I do not think Fedor will fight Hong, since Hong just had a war in K1, i dont think he'll be able to heal that fast. That m1 new year card looks good though.
About Brock vs Mir, i really have no idea. Brock was impressive in destroying that can, but it was all on the ground as expected of a wrestler. Mir, he had his ups and downs, but i got into watching MMA after he had his accident so i did not see him on top of his game. I think if he comes in shape he will be a good challenge, especially if he will avoid the takedowns, but he is really not a striker, he is more of a submission guy, so i think HE will try to take Brock down. I really don't know, i guess we will see if the Brock is the real deal or just 1 hit wonder.
On the other note, UFC 79 looks good for UFC, 3 fights im really exited about, and the fillers are not bad either. Silva/Liddell, Hughes/GSP, and Sok/Machida. Really hard to call those fights except GSP/Hughes, i think GSP will again destroy Hughes just like in their 2nd fight, i just dont see Hughes winning. Silva/Liddell is exiting and hard to call, but they are not at top of their games. I think Silva will take it, since his last two loses came from the top guys and i saw pics and videos of him training and he looked serious, Liddell on the other hand was beat by Jardine and not known for training really hard. But if Liddell wins it wont be a shock either, he still has rocks in his hands, and one punch can put anyone to sleep. Its just in fight with Jardine he was looking for that one punch, and didnt worry about outscoring Jardine. We will see.
Phew what a long post, but i just love mma. Huerta/Guida fight was awesome, this is what mma is all about.

You culd well be right about Hong, I wonder who M1 will put Fedor up against .. Guida / Hurta was a real slice of mma they weren't fighting for the cash they were fighting to prove who was the best .. the war machine fight was epic also. I don't see Machida taking Sok, only if he can get Sok to the ground. Haven't seen Sok in a long fight yet don't think i will soon either he is a devastating striker. I think Jon Fitch vs GSP would be a very interesting bout indeed.

Liddell & Wand is a linkup that had to happen it will be a war, don't see any quick knockouts in that one conditioning will play a big part in it, they will both be in for blood its a make or break for them both I think. Pity Henderson has faded out of the picture since his loss to Jackson.

WEC 31 tonight ..

Urijah Faber Vs. Jeff Curran
Cub Swanson Vs. Jens Pulver
Paulo Filho Vs. Chael Sonnen
Doug Marshall Vs. Ariel Gandulla
John Alessio Vs. Todd Moore
Bryan Baker Vs. Eric Schambari
Alex Karalexis Vs. Ed Ratcliff
Ian McCall Vs. Charlie Valencia
Brian Bowles Vs. Marcos Galvao

Hmm didnt know about WEC, will try to catch, finals in college and all.
The rumors are that Hendo will be fighting Anderson for MW title, which is a bit bs in my opinion, he shouldnt be getting two title fights in a row, at least give him some can to destroy. But I think American fans know who Hendo is, so Dana knows he is marketable and it will sell PPV.
I too dont know what will happen in Sok/Machida, Sok can very well be the next Alexander, two hit wonder. But Alexander has no ground game, where Sok is supposed to be a Judo master. Machida is very evasive, its hard to catch him, we will see if Sok can do it. Both guys will have their hands full.
About Silva/Liddell i hope it is a war, but both guys coming off two back to back loses, i just hope they wont be afraid to engage. Ive seen countless fights where on paper the fight is uber, but when it comes down to fighting it puts me to sleep. Fights like AA/Sylva 3, AA/Werdum, Kos/Diego and others.

Must admit I would like to see Hendo knock Anderson off his pedestal .. I want to see what Anderson does when faced with some real competition.

Would like to see Anderson vs Paulo Filho, Lindland or Hendo .

I dont know, i like Anderson, his skills are way above those of UFC MW division. ANd Filho didnt look that good yesterday, i thought he was getting dominated and then caught the guy into an armbar. To quote GSP "I wasnt impressed with your performance".

I haven't seen the fight yet .. read that it was much like you describe. Anderson is good compared to who he has been up against, I still want to see him face Paulo Filho, Lindland or Hendo. I'm not going to write off Paulo until I see with my own eyes him being outclassed.

Paulo Filho vs Hendo is another I would like to see.

- edit -

Just saw the fights .. Paulo did not look on form @ all, from before the start he looked out of sorts .. he was lucky to pull out a win the judges would have decided against him if he hadn't pulled off the armbar ..

He is fighting in Japan, during the New Year. Japan loves pride, and they loved freakshow. M1 is bringing part of Pride back and kind of giving respect to Japanese fans, so its not totally stupid.
I cant really comment on Serra's skills, i want to see him fight one more time to see if he is indeed for real or was that just a lucky punch, and 2007 (the year of upsets) should be blamed for it Smile. And because of that im going to say Fitch takes it, he is getting more impressive each time he fights, and he has the stamina to keep going.

The life feed went down, so i missed that fight. Only saw chuck/wandy, sanchez/sao, and gsp/matt. Matt got schooled, it looked like a gang initiation, matt had no answers whatsoever. And Fedor won by submission, no surprise there.

6 Years wait for the Silva Liddell fight. Did not live up to expectations, I blame that mainly on the UFC rules. If it was pride Silva would have been kicking liddells face in both times he slipped/fell. Not to mention would have been way more aggressive all together.

EDIT: Hughes got dominated.

Both men are so past their prime, i dont believe either of them will get the belt (at least in my opinion). The fight was 4 years too late. It wouldve been awesome in final conflict in 2003, but alas Chuck got his ass handed to him by Rampage. I do too prefer Pride rules over UFC, maybe not stomps, but definitely knees on the ground, it will keep a lot of wrestlers from LNPing. I just dont see anyone taking the belt from Rampage, will see how Forest does, as he likes to surprise people, but Shogun was gassed after the first round. I dont understand why kept going for that lame take down, he just tired himself out.

http://www.mmatko.com/ Enjoy !

Don't forget the roid element coming from pride, wand looked like a cheap B movie actor forgetting his lines. What a poor show on his part. With any luck he meant to do that.. Neutral

Sudo got his ass handed to him, hype fairytale ended, team quest put in question. Fedor got hit with sledgehammers attached to a 400lb mammoth but pulled out his bounce back power up shit & pulled off the arm bar. How that man can take a massive hit & come right back taken numbers I do not know. So much heart. GSP worked hard, hughes was outclassed from the get Go, the look on his face was precious. Laughing

I know i was watching a gif of Fedor vs Choi, and it looked like a grown man fighting a small boy, he was freaking towering over Fedor. I actually thought Wandy didnt look that bad, he didnt gas as fast as CHucky, who had to take out the fight on the ground in fear of being knocked out. He is definitely not as aggressive as he was, but i think he has a few fights left in him.
