I can see from the poll choices that people really want deep and meaningful experiences. Now i won't forget that Rune was a action game and not really anything else, but we have too much of that now and i hope they nudge up the experience a bit with Rpg parts and a relatively interesting and meaningful story.

I love Rune. It's one of my favorite games. I don't think it's such a great game though. It's good but nothing more. It has always been in the shadow of Severance. I really love Rune's style and how the norse culture was portrayed in it.

Bought this just now as I liked the original back when it was first released, tried the D3D10 and other plugins but they're not fully compatible but it's being worked on - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2753333 - however I also found out they for some reason decided to cut down the game a bit so certain levels were taken out but there was a "fix" available as well - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2753315
Version of Rune Classic goes as 1.10 I believe with the HoV expansion the previous was 1.08 or some such so as the description implies it's been changed a bit.
(And seen some cuts unfortunately but those could be restored.)
