In advance of the nationwide release of Columbia Pictures' action film Battle: Los Angeles, in theaters March 11, 2011, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Battle: Los Angeles, a new first person shooter game based on the film, coming next month for the PlayStation®Network, Xbox Live® Arcade, Windows PC download via Steam and select digital distribution channels. Players will have the opportunity to relive the thrill of the movie as they assume the role of Corporal Lee Imlay and fight alongside characters from the film and defend the city of Los Angeles from attacks from unknown forces.
Its SP campaign is retelling the events of the movie. It'll probably be worth a look.. just in case, before the inevitable shift+delete

I agree about the movie, it looks fun and I'd like to see it.
As for the game.. well they haven't even released a trailer or a single screenshot for it.. it's like they don't even care to market it.

Konami made the game official last week, although not much is known about it at the moment, other than that it’s coming to Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network and Steam sometime in April.
