Really? It's that great? I never tried it, but every words I heard about it were good ones. I will try it maybe when there's fewer games, especially that I just started Gothic 2 again and I can't get away from it anymore .
Sniper: Elite was awesome, the best game ever made featuring sniping. While graphically dated today I still install it and play through it now and then simply because it's awesome. I'd salivate if they made a real sequel with a modern engine. Imagine Sniper: Elite with the Crysis engine, crawling through the brushes etc.

i'd be up for a proper actual sniper game but sniper elite and ghost warror were not sniper games.

what's the point of having a long range weapon when you're just walking down a corridor?
best and really the only proper sniper game i've played was arma with a good sniping mission
there's a few good dynamic sniper missions that generate missions and targets
the arrowhead expansion for arma2 now includes elevation adjustment that was a mod earlier
