i don't think any other than conviction even does have coop
played it through on xbox with a friend.. good fun
but you should really be in the same space while playing it
my only complaint is that there's not much stuff in the missions that really needs coop and its easy playing alone already (except the last mission's stupid pew pew sequence)
edit; oh,ok.. i never liked the earlier games so i don't know about the multiplayer components

he's coming over so we'll play lan. Chaos theory is the sound choice it seems. heard good of it everywhere and as far as i can see it has story based coop. Just really wondering what people thought of it personally

Yeah, CT coop is prety good. Basicly the same feel as the SP campaign, just having a partner and coop-specific actions and solutions.

I could never get Chaos Theory COOP to work. Always an error, I read it was a bug in the game.

Chaos Theory, definately. I never finished a Splinter Cell game in singleplayer, except for Conviction which wasn't one really and I finished it just because it was short. In co-op on the other hand I had a huge amount of fun in Chaos Theory, great game.

True, Chaos Theory coop was a great experience but it was also quite bugged for some users (and it was never completely fixed afaik); finding Versus matches was problematic as well, though when it worked it was very good.

Finished all Splinter Cell games so far (yeah, even the last two retarded ones). I even went as far as to finish CT on the hardest difficulty making sure nobody saw me and only killed the absolutely neccessary targets (guard on top of the lighthouse, that guerilla boss, etc). No knockouts, no alarms, no getting spotted, no equipment left behind, or anything. Just slip in, do my magic and slip out, leaving nothing to even indicate anyone was there.
I still remember I spent countless hours and a gazillion retrys at the end of the bathhouse level because of those night-vision soldiers in the last room.
CT coop: I heard it was supposed to be buggy and yeah, it was hard to get the game to join your mate, but once it managed to connect, it was pretty stable.

A sound choice then. Looking forward to trying, just a shame it has joining issues because i know of those all too well. If there is joining issues with lan games i get them, so fucking typical.

How is the multiplayer on Double Agent compared to Pandora tomorrow (thats the only one I played online which I loved)
And is it still active? I got me a key of it but still need the game.. if its worth it.
Somehow when I opened the pandora box again I found out someone has nicked the content, lol.
Booklet with cdkey + cd is goner.

i played chaos theory coop via hamachi lan. BEST COOP EXPERIENCE EVER. ofc use teamspeak or kype to talk with your m8. i think you could even communicate ingame but you had to talk silently, so the guards won't hear you.
protip: stay away from derpviction.

Chaos Theory was awesome on coop, it has a few coop-only missions. Very nice ! I played it with the 1.05 patch (RLD epic rlz) and it rocked !

Chaos Theory is for me the best game of the whole old PS2/Xbox generation, even better than the first one (which I absolutely loved though). It had deep proper stealth mechanics, amazing visuals/sounds (still good even now, after 6 years), excellent soundtrack and a great multiplayer part (when it worked), definitely a legendary game
