BG 2 reborn? Trailer looks cool. Everyone walks funny though, and the music seemed kinda out of place halfway through.

I honestly don't see that being well-received, to be honest. Not in 2009, where everything is PhysX or SM4.0 or HDR with 16xMSAA. :-\

hmmm

well, I'd be willing to give this a chance. If the story and gameplay is good I wouldn't mind the graphics.
I guess if it was in development for 10 years it must have at least 800 hours of gameplay or something.
That or it was developed by 1 guy in his basement.

I would try this, hoping it's good but I don't have high hopes as the people making it haven't made anything before, but you never know.

I need another decent hack'n'slash/oldskool RPG ... so much so that I actually DLed Diablo 2 and the expansion, out of sheer desperation. Gonna install it later tonight, see if I can't convince myself that my initial opinions/observations were false.

Still waiting for "Greed" From what little information there is, that sounds really good - and it's supposedly due soon as well.

oh come on, people still play fallout and jagged alliance 2
not all care
and why hasn't anybody even brought graphics up with a game like hearts of iron?

that said, the art style looks rather uninspiring
is this a proper rpg or just hack'n'slash bullshit?

Well, no comments on the engine, it sure looks ten years old.. But im willing to bet the story will be very good, and sometimes that alone makes the game.

Mmh... seems like 100% diablo copy Razz

Btw. Did anyone see the movement of the characters in the game.... if you can't run, it's gonna be pain Smile I always hated it in D1 as you could only walk, and it was so slow.

yeah... the weird part is that they put that on the front page, like it's a GOOD thing that it was in development for 10 years.
As far as I know nothing good ever came of long development times.

DNF? Daikatana? Razz

also...

High-resolution state-of-the-art graphics

lol is all I can say about that.

But still, the story and gameplay stuff sounds interesting enough.
Quote:
The storyline is based mainly on the investigation of various crimes, so the core components of the game are to expose malefactors, gain evidence against them and to prove them guilty in court, using both the canon law and the secular law of the Empire.

Carry out dozens of secondary quests and develop your potential in order to face the more powerful and dangerous enemies and challenges. And remember – all you do depend just on your own choice!

If it has dialog trees I am in.

Edit:

And I hope I can go around calling people heretics and seizing their shit. That would be awesome.

I could live with the graphics, though the animations look a bit suspect. The trailer leaves me worried about the localization too >.<

They can work on the storyline all they like. If they translate it piss-poorly (as I'm sure they're doing right now) it wont matter.
