Yeah it's just GIANT Spyware rebranded. It's nice but they've done nothing except change the name (and they even missed some of the GIANT branding).

I think I will keep to NOD32, I expect the Microsoft version will be restricted to a certain degree like the rest of their applications/os's. Smile

Nod32 is not optimized for spyware. It's an antivirus. That's why I use Giant spyware together with it.
I just feel that this Microsoft antispyware is very sick. They should release it for free. I mean, selling an app to clean out It's own problems and mistakes. How smart is that? Greedy bastards...

Yes, because It's a beta but they will probably charge it later.

Here's info about the antivirus that's on the way: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6794154/

edit:

Here's an official interview at Microsoft -> http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/features/2005/jan05/01-06Spyware.asp.

They've already infiltrated those kinds of things together with Windows media player 10 + halted som parts of the OS when it detects that the copy is warez/illegal. I think you can do just fine if you use a rare generated key.
