So, apparently xbox can output tesselation, wasnt this DX11 feature?? Cool Face Maybe we get better ports to PC soon.

And yes wrong area, but maybe this gets more discussion in PC games area. Gonna move if its necessary

360's GPU supports tessellation since day 1.

As far as I'm not mistaken, the 4-year-old now 2900XT had support for tesselation. So, this might not be surprise that some old GPUs have some sort of ancient and primitive tessellation support implemented.

I know the older cards originally had support for it, but I thought the concept was abandoned simply due to lack of horsepower :\ I wasn't aware the R600 had a proper tessellation engine though.

No, Xenos GPU is an R500/R600 hybrid; one of the features shared with R600 are programmable tessellation units. ATI put those in to be DX10 compliant, and then MS decided to scrap Tessellation :E

not only they are changing the xbox DVD format to version 3.0 to give more space to developers, updating they dae.ini to have new Ap in the Nand to stop piracy but also upgrading they tools to give more codemetal tools...

if next they will say its only possible on slims then i will get one Laughing

now that Samaritan Epic demo makes sense when they spoke they next UE will have tessellation
