Hey guys,
I've an option of undergoing training between one of the two. Which one would you recommend and why (taking into account career prospects, work, pay etc) ?
1 and 2 are still amazing.

I would go for DBA.
1. At least around here the pay is supposed to be better for a DBA.
2. Databases are much more common than SAP, and are existing in almost every application, therefore you'll probably have more job offers in the future.
But you should especially ask yourself what would be more interesting for you.

Being a freelancer with good SAP knowledge and certificates = license to print money.
Have DB knowledge = be one of a million. It's like being a PHP expert

Okay.. so there are many DBA's out there but few SAP's ? Freaking hell, I'm even more confused now. The main problem is the fact that no one around me is in the computer industry so I'm relying on the internet to help me out.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Yes, I have a masters degree in BCA and I'm currently 22. Wasted 1 year in a dead end-ish computer journo job. Totally confused and annoyed right now...

You made your master and are just 22? It takes minimum 5 years to make a master here O_O
BTW: What I would have done -> Get into any computer company, work there for 2 years and you'll be much more valuable than anything else Except for knowing SAP

So you are a bachelor of computer application? That isn't bad either Maybe you should look out for all the big companies, maybe they have a location next to you. For example IBM, Microsoft or anything big like that Try to get in there as intern (here in germany you can be an intern even 6 months after you reached your degree and they pay money too ). If you should be able to impress someone you might even get a job offer and in big companies that usually pay for all your certificate schoolings and stuff

But then what do I apply for? I've lost interest in C++,Java etc.. and I don't want to go into the programming or networking field. They would ask for some programming skills of which I have a little but the truth is that I really don't want to get into it. So that is why I've been avoiding applying anywhere and thus now totally trying to focus on what I should specialize in. But this is where I'm confused because while I have a technology base I don't have enough knowledge for anything in particular.
Wow I don't even know what I'm typing... man I'm so messed up right now. I just don't know what to do for the rest of my life.
I'm just fucking fed up of all this confusion
1 and 2 are still amazing.

So what do you want to do? You finished your computer application studies and don't want to work in that field? Don't you like programming? As what do you see yourself? As an Specialist (will know some fields very well and specialize in them. Like DB, Java or whatever. Or what about being an architect? You'll have to know some from all fields and how to bring them together to work with each other, without knowing each and every option and setting

Wow that's great!
Alright I've been searching on google for a while for some institutions but I don't know which one is genuine. Any ideas about a good institution in the ncr?

I don't recommend any Institutes i believe if you can pickup any programming language then nothing is difficult, if you can learn C and C++ you don't even need to worry about anything else but concepts needs to be crystal and clear.
I myself a Sybase Developer for 6.5 years and you should start learning DB from any local coaching institutes.
