Every other time, i boot windows...
it shows lists of all hard drivers in bios

and when it comes to SSD itit says SMART COMMAND FAILED
Should I be worried? This happened when I tried to update firmware but PC locked up for good 10 minutes..and since then I get occasional few second locks up when transfering files to usb stick or unpacking rar files
I think also booting time is quite slower :/

should I just request RMA and get a replacement before things will get worse?

You mean Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology?

Dunno, try disabling SMART in bios for SSD and see what happens...

That's not a good idea really, smart can warn you of drive issues. Check the drivers, cables. It may also indicate a problem with your sata controller.

No, it's a software issue. Are you on an nforce motherboard by any chance? I just remembered something from working on a hardware monitor: some chipsets use a mini scsi driver, and scsi does not support smart. It's fake scsi, but as far as windows is concerned it's ata so it tries to initialise smart and obviously fails.

What SSD do you have? I know the original Vertexes had a version which had a problem with the SMART command, so perhaps that's what's going on for you atm. Try downgrading 1 FW version?

ADATA S599 AS599S-128GM-C 2.5" 128GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive

This started to happen when I try to upgrade the firmware but everything just locked up

I did test it again with AS SSD Benchmark and there are no problems with speeds..so i guess there should be nothing to worry about?
