I'm also glad to hear scummy places like Gamestop are on their last legs, hopefully one day they'll vanish completely. Now this isn't because of any "love" towards publishers, it's simply a selfish reasoning of my own; I despise companies like this that rip the customers off, profiting from everyone else's hard work. They offer pathetic prices for preowned software, yet often sell them close to new retail price - pocketing the profits at the expense of the gamer AND the industry. It's places like Gamestop that can be blamed for the current spate of nonsense from companies such as EA/THQ, and their "online code" nonsense.
Rather than revitalising the preowned industry, Gamestop and their ilk are flat out killing it.

is this 60 year old grandpa wearing a ghostbusters shirt? wtf?
How can Gamestop be blamed? If consumers are ready to trade in three used games for a single used game, they're the idiots. We have some small stores like that here too. They have no problems buying the game for ten bucks and putting it on the shelf for 30 bucks the exact same moment. It's a complete rip-off since they do zilch besides buying and selling.
Hence the reason I said "and their ilk" I single out Gamestop since they are now the most prevalent of trade-in stores, with companies like GAME falling behind. In fact, if I'm not mistaken; Gamestop are in the middle of acquiring GAME for themselves.
Let's just hope for some serious competition in the digital market. Future won't look bright if we get stuck with no retail games and Steam just continues to grow.
That immortality bit was actually slightly concerning. Would be pretty horrible if everyone just kept living on and on and on. Don't see how they plan to prevent brain degradation though.
Mirror, mirror on the wall... who just got TOLD once and for all?
Don't get me started with . Anyway, I watched that inteview yesterday and I found it interesting, unlike most interviews in gaming nowadays with the same fucking questions about kinect and crap like that.
They did the soundtrack to Sacred 2? That must be why I loved it Hell, I found one of my favourite groups EVER by way of a game soundtrack; Fahrenheit and "Theory of a Deadman"
Oh~ho! thanks, I'd never heard of Blind Guardian before. Methinks I might have found something else to add to my playlist ^_^
WHAT?!?!? Blind Guardian is amazing, they're the ones that did the intro for sacred 2. IF you liked Blind Guardian look into . Iced Earth and Blind Guardian merged at one point forming

Not sure if they did all of the soundtrack, but don't you remember the quest that lead to this: ?
I love how Power/Speed metal invariably revolves around fantasy and D&D-type appeals. Great stuff
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, ontopic: Gamestop sucks balls. The end.
@DarkRohirrim
Nah, I never got that far. Game is friggin' massive, I always start it... play for 10hrs or so... then flutter off to another game. Rinse, Repeat.
I know it is, never finished it myself, but when I found out about the quest I ran to it without doing any other quest or killing anything . Doing a lot of offtopic here myself it seems, but if you know how to play it via Hamachi or something and want to play it in co-op, I'm all ears .

whats wrong with that? better than the pc where your stuck with 3 games you cant sell cos there tied to steam or some other bullshit service

I don't care about selling games. When they're on my Steam/Impulse/GOG/etc profiles, they can't be sold and I don't lose my collection - unlike in the past where I've been so broke some weeks that I've had to sell my beloved games. I see nothing wrong with trade-in stores on PAPER.. but in reality they're incredibly selfish and they prey on people like a cancer. You may play the "you don't have to...." card, but I really couldn't give a toss; what they do is wrong, it's morally disgusting and I'll be glad when they get shut down. Greed is a vile thing.
