I'm going to Turkey this summer and I'm trying to book a flight, there's no fucking logic behind the pricing. I get this every goddam year. One day it's €340, the next day it's €400. It goes up and down, up and down. It even varies with every damn search sometimes. How can one of the biggest overview sites in this country charge €35 service costs and still add options like cancellation insurance and shit? I expect that crap to be covered by that 35 euros (10%). WTF is it that much? Does processing really require that much? Hell, 95% is probably automatic. 55 to 60% taxes? WTF!? Really. Isn't that bullshit?
So FU airline companies, FU all. FU for letting me pay €450 last year for a plane that was half full. Fucking pricks. Fu for only accepeting CCs, forcing me to buy via some bullshit sites. I cancelled my CC because I rarely use it, should I get another one for you dicks? Fu for keeping teh prices artificially inflated since the rise of petrol to 100+ two years ago, while it hit rock bottom a year ago. FU for screwing your customers with BS excuses while reporting big profits this last year.

The best way to fuck the airline companies would be by not giving them any of your money. That's easy for me to say of course, I don't travel by airplane.

Fuel will most likely continue to increase in cost forcing airline companies to increases price in tax and fuel surcharges
until recently, you were able to checkout with 2 bags..now you have to pay for second baggage :/ which is total lame
I check prices daily for my ticket to Poland for the summer and when I seem its the cheapest I buy it right away because next day it will be more expensive. Tickets also costs quite more during weekends. Always better to fly in the middle of the week.
For past two years I was able to buy ticket to Poland from start of July until start of September for $700!!! That was with Swiss and Aer Lingus while LOT has them for $1200 but its a straight flight..I like connection flights anyway, I can say I visited that country(hahaha)
This year prices are not looking so good, cheapest price I saw to this day was $900
Tickets are fairly cheap, its fuel+tax+some other silly charges that are REALLY expensive
There is only one way to travel from NA to EU...which is plane.
I think they removed any transatlantic passanger ships...I think only ones left are cargo ships

The cost of airline tickets is incredibly cheap when you figure how fucking expensive it was even 20 years ago and then add in the fact that fuel is vastly more expensive.
People complain over the dumbest shit.

Hell, I fly with RyanAir and it's dirt cheap! It costs less to fly from Norway to England - and BACK AGAIN - than it does to catch the train from one city to the next in the same country. If you people want to complain; complain about the privatisation of British Rail -- now THAT shit is messed up.

I heard something about fat people have to pay more for a ticket these days? More fat people means more weight and fuel.

They should pay for 2 tickets! Nothing worse then crammed in next to a huge dude on a 6 hour flight!

I go to Turkey by airplane almost every year since I was two years old. My father bought tickets in the middle of summer for just 250 Dutch florins. Since 5 years or so one should be happy to get a ticket for 450 euros.

This is probably true, but I wouldn't know.
I dont think fat=more weight+fuel
I think it's just a number game played by airline companies so regular people will pay more

actually..TICKETS DID RAISE IN COST
1-2 months ago ticket to Poland from USA with connecting flight in Ireland was 900$. Swiss in Zurich was around 1050$ and straight flight to Poland was 1200$ with LOT
Now the prices are thru Ireland 1400$, Zurish 1500$ and to Warsaw(non connecting flight) $1700!
SO YES, ticket prices increases a lot this year funny thing to mention
when barrel of oil peaked to around 140$ few summers back...TICKERS WERE THE CHEAPEST~~ could get as low as $650 for round trip with connecting flight in ireland..to Poland that is
and now barrel of oil is what around 80$? tickers skyrocketed by roughly $500
fuck airline companies

Check flights from New York to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Oslo. Prices are sometimes as low as 600usd (roundtrip, 300 each way).
From those places it only costs like 30-50usd to get to Warsaw.
I hate you.
