Normal chrome doesn't display much either. And their Chrome Canary crashed in the middle of the video too.

Worked fine all the way to the end in FF4, pretty nice. Nice music, too.

Another example of how cool HTML5 and CSS3 are
Just a shame it'll be half a decade before this is anywhere near "standard"

I have 11.0.696.68, had 65 and updated just before playing rome.
And I have 13.0.763.0 canary too, that at least displayed anything besides black but stopped after ~ 1minute. (after the scene with the animals)

As long as browsers such as Internet Explorer 6,7 and 8 have substantial market-share, there is no point of even thinking in going that route. People might wish to claim that they never target IE users, but that's crap, you cannot not target such large audiences, especially in the business markets.

My point exactly
We (as in, the company I work for part-time) have dropped IE6 support as a standard goal for any project now (it will be done at additional cost, but it costs so much time that it's rarely worth it), but 7 and 8 are still massive chores; I personally have not done much with IE9, because I rarely do frontend stuff anymore. HTML4 and XHTML1 aren't even properly supported, let alone HTML5. One can say about Google what they want, but they are the driving force behind Webkit these days. Without them, Apple would still be stuck in the stone age with Safari just like MS still are.
HTML 4 is almost a decade and a half old damned
And then there's the upcoming "codec war" for HTML5 video, *sigh*
