Winter, 1942 -  Germany's  6th  Army  is  surrounded  and  trapped  in
Stalingrad. Their supplies are  short,  their  mobility  limited,  and
Soviet attacks probe their lines on a daily basis. In a desperate  and
ill-conceived plan, Germany would attempt to rescue the  6th  Army  by
advancing seventy-five miles in the  winter  starting  with  only  two
     Panzer Divisions.

Galactic Civilizations II? Cool
Star Wars: Empire at War? Cool

And MAELSTROM (yeah, not in space, but sci-fi) is going to be great, developed by the same people who made Perimeter (there is an expansion coming up for it late in August btw).

Yeah, moving off-topic.. but Panzer-shite is such a boring thing to discuss. Laughing

i think for a ww2-game you don't need any imagination - for a sci-fi game you need a lot of it..

Hehe, know what you mean but since this one is from Matrix it will probably be fairly realistic which does appeal to a certain amount of people around the world. What that means is that I will have to check it out. Very Happy

Not an rpg with mages and warriors. Rather one that is set in modern times.

Yeah, I see it on Amazon. Apparently it is out in the US, but not in Europe from what I can see. Any word on what protection it uses?

Btw, sorry again for hijacking this thread, but I don't see anyone discussing Panzer-crap anyway Wink

I saw it in Europe, not in US. I think it will have Starforce, since it's Codemasters.

It's crap. They've tried to do a Combat Mission style game with a Close Combat style campaign, and it just doesn't work - the interface is horrible, it's slow, the campaign is static, and there's no map editor or quick battle functionality. If you're that desperate for some grognardish Eastern Front action, get the Combat Mission Anthology and download the campaign mod.
