...cause 2x24" is getting too small and i've found out that i have enough place for a 3rd one if i clean up my desk Laughing

eizo/nec are out of the question...i do design stuff, but not some hardcore pr0sauce shit and no way i'm putting down 3k for a monitor. primary uses will be gaming, movies, adobe apps and windows explorer -->pretty much need an allround jack-of-all-trades screen.

so, what's good these days? haven't been following the developments on the monitor front for a while since i've been quite happy with my 2 old ones for the last few years.

short list so far:
dell 3008wfp: sure it's a bit old, but i should be able to get hold of one for somewhere around 700-900 euros, plus it just looks stunning. <3 gunmetal
dell u3011: 1200 new which is an acceptable price imo, some improvements over the 3008
dell 3007wfp: another step into the past, but at half the price of the u3011, i wouldn't be complaining. sucky input lag though

hp zr30w: bit more optimized for gaming (half the input lag) and cheaper, but lacks features compared to the u3011. plus dell warranty and customer service owns (never had any hp products). same panel as the u3011 iirc.

other candidates like the lg flatron w3000h, samsung 305t and doublesight 305w kinda fall through since they're basically the same (panel) as the dell 3007/8 and would only be interesting if i can get em for super cheap. are there actually any others to select from? the 30" market seems a bit dried up atm.
