So, like the subject says, but with a twist... having only stock cooler Cool Face

How much would you dare to oc the 920 with just the stock cooler, just out of curiosity Razz I haven't felt the need for extra power yet, and if I would oc it I'd get some better cooling system.

Stock cooler.. And keeping in mind it's hyperthreaded meaning it's most likely hotter than the i5 counterpart (i5 750)...

3.2Ghz. If temps are good you could try 3.4Ghz. But overclocking with stock cooler is like driving a sports car.. with a 75 horsepower engine.

Just use the dummy OC profile and speed step/turbo. Its the safest route with a stock cooler. I think it overclocks it to 3.2

It's pretty crap for gaming because of the low frequency. My i7-860 @ 2.93Ghz can't handle shogun total war 2 or Rift at maximum settings. I deactivate shadows completely to reduce CPU load and then it works fine.

And 920 has even lower frequency than mine. Although my problem might be lack of DX11 capable GPU, since DX11 should reduce CPU load, if game supports it properly.
