Is this normal behavior for people these days or only in the US?

People have such empty lives these days.
They get bored and the only way they can party is getting drunk. Because their imagination is just that bad. So they go to the bar.
Once they get to the bar they realize everyone is just as lame as them. 5 shots later nobody is talking to anyone else because of the "social bubble" around everyone. So they flip open their phone and go to Facebook.
They hope Facebook has some reprieve from the boredom of their lives, but no, just same old stupid shit by stupid friends you don't really care about posting on your stupid wall. So you write some dumb shit on your wall because you just don't care and then randomly text your friends.
Except your friends are just as bored as you so they text you back shit that is even more inane than what you texted them. So you order another shot at the bar and switch to Facebook to check if anyone posted to your wall in the past 5 minutes. Scan the bar for any cute chicks/guys and hope they approach you, but don't approach them because you're too much of a pussy.
Repeat all of the above.
Before you know it, Friday night has passed. Another meaningless day for another meaningless being in this fucked up directionless society of ours.
And people wonder why everything is going to hell.
My good people, it is Friday night, and I am drunk. Fuck you all, I'm going to go play Frozen Synapse.
