Naw, they're usually the training exercises and completely optional if I'm not mistaken. The games themselves are trucking simulators This is just an interim game though, the REAL one I'm waiting for is Euro Truck Simulator 2 ^_^
I had to play it YEARS ago because the disc was named KOTOR and I borrowed it from a friend who trolled me
Since then I have a strange fixation about truck games
3080, ps5, lg oled
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
My favourite will always be 18 WoS: PttM, Haulin' is (now) the better game but at launch it was bugged to hell and back and SCS had replaced all the dynamic dashboards with static textures instead. It's fixed now, but I guess the bad taste stuck and my favourite as PttM still stands
@h4wkeye
Yup, definitely the best looking truck game yet! It looks amazing and it's still not as awesome as ETS2 is going to be, hehe. Looks like Scania TS is only set in ONE city? Damn.. that's definitely a massive drawback. I guess that's due to the vastly improved visuals .. having to render a(n admittedly scaled down) country with those visuals would be tough.
Considering these are the visuals we're used to in the Truck Simulators;
(2006)
(2011)
.. it's amazing to see what Euro2/Scania look like. It's also damned hard to find videos of Haulin' (and the pre Extreme Trucker series in general) that don't run at 2fps on someone's piece of shit computer
That's good. Because YT videos look good, but it's always some mission to drive between cones and park here or there.
I think you saw some vids about "Trucks and Trailers" this game was only about handling and do such things.
EDIT: nevermind ScaniaTS has some cones missions too ^^
Extrem truck simulators series was all about missions.
German/UK truck simulators had nice career with economy system.
This Scania one seem's to be the first to have a city that actually looks like a real city.
It may be interseting if it has already some features we will see in EuroTruck Simulator 2.
Might worth a try, where is the iso demo ?

It seems like only the Polish version of Scania is out at the moment, UK/US versions come out on the 18th of June .. according to some of the comments on Scania vids.
And nobody told me about this... because?? Kristian??
Better grab German Trucksimulator, if you are worried about driving on the left side of the road.
UK came out only some month after GTS it's almost the same game.
