Metro: Last Light

Quote:
Metro: Last Light (formerly Metro 2034) is an upcoming action-oriented video game with a combination of survival horror and first-person shooter elements. The game is a sequel to Metro 2033, but has no relevance to the book, Metro 2034, but author, Dmitry Glukhovsky has apparently been working with the developers.
Metro: Last Light is set in 2034 in the same setting as Metro 2033, the Moscow Metro. The station-cities of the Metro struggle for power using weapons found in D6. The player follows Artyom, the main protagonist from Metro 2033, as the supposed “key to survival – the last light in our darkest hour…”[1] So far, Artyom, Khan, and the Nazi Reich return. New weapons like a bolt-action rifle are added as well as old weapons like the Kalash. Also, it is believed a civil war is involved in the plot.

It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside - and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above.
But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival - the last light in our darkest hour...
Features:
* A gripping, story-driven first person shooter, Metro: Last Light is the hugely anticipated sequel to 2010's critically acclaimed cult classic Metro 2033.
* Experience thrilling combat with an exotic arsenal of hand-made weaponry against deadly foes - both human and mutant - and use stealth to launch attacks under the cover of darkness.
* Explore the post-apocalyptic world of the Moscow Metro, one of the most immersive, atmospheric game worlds ever created.
* Fight for every bullet and every last breath in a claustrophobic blend of survival horror and FPS gameplay.
* Next generation technology boasting stunning lighting and physics sets a new graphical benchmark on both console and PC.
* Wage post-apocalyptic warfare online, as Last Light delivers an intense multiplayer experience amongst the dark Russian ruins.
Played first one on the PC , how was it in terms of gfx compared with PC version..or how it looked in general on 360 comparing it to other good looking games ?
It looked really nice on x360, compared to a console game. Really nice FPS that translated well to the console, if STALKER 2 would have shipped I would have hoped it looked and played like Metro.
Other than the marketing/PR bullshit of "This is a Pre-Alpha footage", the trailer looked great, loved the first one and the tensed atmosphere seems to be there in Last Light as well.
Maybe I missed somethin but the gunplay looks pretty much the same, and that's good as it was one of the things I loved about Metro; I'm not sure what I liked more, the gunplay or the atmosphere. It felt very STALKER-esque, witch shouldn't come as a surprise due to the devs pedigree.
Sadly, it isn't. It got pushed to Q1 of 2013 a while back. The fuckers were supposed to release it in Q4 2012. Feels like we're in a delay heaven and 2013 will be over-crowded with kick-ass games.
