Sony Online Entertainment announces PAYDAY: The Heist, a first-person shooter for Windows and PlayStation 3 in development at Overkill Software for release later this year via digital distribution. This should not be confused with Hei$t, a crime game that was in development at inXile Entertainment before its cancellation earlier this year. Here are some screenshots, and here's a bit on the game's heists, which will be supported by additional missions via DLC:

Players will embark on a spectacular crime spree of six heart stopping heists, including blasting their way through a downtown bank vault robbery, managing hostages in an armored car hijacking and even a midnight infiltration of a top-secret, high-security facility. Additionally, PAYDAY: The Heist challenges players with dynamic environments and adaptive enemy tactics — meaning no scenario will ever play out the same way twice. Teamwork is essential to ensure crew members provide cover under fire, guard key access points, break through various security measures and keep civilians in check. Survive wave after wave of the best that law enforcement can deploy as they shift strategies in response to player actions and gameplay style.

Sounds interesting enough.

If the price is reasonable, it's a buy for me.

Lots of gameplay. Personally it sounds interesting and the fact that they are demonstrating it on a PC makes it even more interesting.

When i saw the earlier vids the other day i was kinda on the fence on this game, but after seeing these i think this is gonna have some great team based gameplay. I really like how the PC controls are looking and the whole movie based heist ideas are awesome. It's strange this idea hasn't been used before. The grfx could be better though, but the gameplay looks like it might be as fun as L4D.

it looks like a lot of fun
but am i the only one really annoyed that it's called "heist"
it's a plain robbery simulator - a heist has more finesse than "imma kill everyone!111"
the earlier cancelled heist game was more worthy of the title as you could really plan it

Russians don't use paypal - they use webmoney which is pretty much the same sort of thing in Russia - it's available to you if you wanna get an account but you need a 3rd party site to transfer the money from paypal or bank account etc. to webmoney - it's the same for Russians to do the same btw - but they aren't the ones trying to get their games cheaper Wink

What happens is middlemen set up sites like intkeys and ppl pay them shitloads of cash for the privelege of using paypal Laughing

This is a 60$ game? Seriously?

I watched a few gameplay videos and it looks like a downloadable game for 15-20$, nothing more.

I was interested in this when I thought it was another game (the cancelled Hei$t) Once I found out it's some bullshit FPS, I lost all interest and there's no way I'm paying €18 for it.

So, they renamed 'Hei$t' to 'Payday: The Heist'? I thought they were two distinct games...

They are, this isn't the game I was thinking of.. as I said. I just saw "Heist" and confused the two. One was a strategy bank-robbing game, looked awesome, this is a team-based FPS, looks shite.
