why it works... well most of those games are straight copies of XBLA format games and they aren't signed , so they work like DVD Demos that you burn to DVD-RW... but now when MS added USB compatibility you can format a stick on your XBOX360 use "USBXTAFGUI_v44" to insert those files and your done ... just plug this into XBOX go to your games browser, select those games with "Y" button and select copy to transfer it to HDD or PLAY to play straight from your USB [or DVD-rw ]

How to play them from a custom made USB
1. Format a USB stick with your 360 (I recommend its at least 4GB)
2. Use USBXTAFGUI to copy the Content folder to your USB (NOTE: If you already have the directories set up just copy all of the games into the 0000000000000000 folder)
3. Insert the USB stick in your 360. You can transfer the games to your HDD or play them off the USB. The games will be in the Games Library |
Just found out about it  you can rip the Isos and copy them on a USB stick and they will work normally , you can even copy them to your HDD [WORKS EVEN ON RETAIL NON FLASHED BOXES]

oh and you can even make a custom DVD-RW and play them like any Demo content  but this time they are full games

A1:quick solution burn a custom made DVD-RW or DVD-R with games that you need
A2:this one is a bit tricky:
a] create a new profile on your XBOX360 HDD
b] format a USB stick/hdd
c] log out and log in to your newly created profile [lets say it called XYZ ]
d] inside your XYZ profile go to Memory option , then pick the internal XBOX360 and go to Profiles.
e] There select your XYZ profile and press "move to" IMPORTANT you must be log in as XYZ to make it work
f] select your USB Stick/HDD and move your XYZ profile ...
g] Xbox will move and ties to delete the profile but OH NOES your still logged in your XYZ this will block the deleting of XYZ and your 360 will spit out a error but will copy it anyways
h] no just log off and you will see you will have a double profile in the log in screen one with the HDD mark in the down-right corner the other MU ... MU is you CLONE USB
i] ok don't turn off your XBOX360!!!! be logged out of any profile , plug out your stick , see the profiles number change [your concurent number minus one profile] and plug it in again IF the number goes up ... PROFIT.. WINNING ...
j] don't turn off your 360 , just plug your copied profile to PC and copy the needed games to it , then plug it back and press MOVE TO and pick your HDD... |

you can't copy from XBOX360 to XBOX360 .. don't talk shit, only games with no DRM [non-signed to one console] work
and even if you copied them to your USB , those game that have DRM they will show as trail demos , not full un-locked games
but games that came on DVDs work fine , they aren't signed so you can copy them  |

Ummm i copied from xbox to xbox. I plugged in my stick... did move to. Connected stick to my xbox... and clicked move to... and i had it.  I dunno what you're on about. It worked for me.

yeah, feks i bought marble blast ultra on my first shitbox and it rrod ofc and now i can only play it on my new xbox when im signed in with the profile i bought it with otherwise i only get trial version.

Tested Alien Breed and Serious Sam HD and they all work great. Used xbox image browser(thnx deelix!) + XTAF v44.
Hfric awsome find, and thnx for the thread! Now to wait for Xbox Live Arcade Game Pack Vol.3 so I can finally play me some Limbo, Trials and Splosion Man. ^__^

XBOX Live Arcade Unplugged Vol. 1 [Bejeweled 2,Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved,Hardwood Backgammon,Outpost Kaloki X,Texas Hold'em,Wik and the Fable of Souls] all games on this one show up as trial as well. Also on about 2 other arcade collection discs, all of those show up as trial.
Other that Alien Breed and SS HD all seem to show up as trial. Shame, really wanted to play some Geo Wars...

I'm having some problems with this! Some games won't show up in my xbox when i inject them with USBXTAFGUI v.44. I managed to transfer alien breed 1 and 2 but 3 wont show up even though i injected it just like the previous two.

Try reformating the usb drive, in win or x360 and recreate x360 partition. Then try again.

I just did that and Plants vs Zombies showed up together with alien breed 1 & 2 but the third one still wont show up. I had a problem with Serious Sam 2 too but that one showed up but i wasn't able to transfer it to my hdd. Are there any other programs like USBXTAF that i could try?
EDIT: After screwing around for a while i got it working, can't really say what was wrong.

Yeah i checked that in the extracted files and also made sure to look in the injected files and it all seemed ok. Kinda suspected XTAF but i don't really know what was the problem.
