yes
As a reminder, the first phase of the Final Beta will be opened to those who attained an authentication key through the official Blizzard pre-order campaign, as well as current Closed Beta testers, who will maintain their existing account and characters. More testers will be included in the near future.

If you have a beta key from the pre order then you can play. Open beta testing will happen later.

Your are mistaking, I think. Don't think there will be a open beta.

I'm in the closed beta, so thats great. But the downside is that I ordered the game yesterday, so it might be a bit over launch day before I get to play the retail version.

Are you shitting me? That doesn't say shit about an Open Beta, it doesn't say shit. There wont be an Open Beta, i've been in the EU closed beta from the start, i know. the Open Beta got fucked over and it is the Final Beta now, that's for people who pre orded the game, excluding The Netherlands.

I'm grabbing World of Warcraft 1.1.2 Installer-enGB from http://wowtorrents.de.vu/ at 80k/sec

It's the same filename as the one from Blizzard so should be the final client.

think so to, the installer is called ..enGB which is the english version. deDE is the german version and frFR is the french. So you should be safe.

Mind you, I'm only guessing. I find it unlikely that they will open the server in the weekend and they will probably wait a couple of days for the client to have spread.

In my oppinion the best thing would be to open the serves now, in that way the stress on the server is minimized.

I hate that in the end, after all the efforts you put into your character it would be destroyed with a wave of some technical programmer at Blizzard.

Exactly, i stopped playing the beta in November, to preserve the flavour. I'm waiting on the retail, games burn out real fast on my clock.

Well, I'm on the closed beta server. I don't fancy starting all over again, at least not until retail.
