So, got any tips on interesting biopics based on interesting people?

Everything from JFK to The Doors included (seen both).

My own recommendations:

Control - about Ian Curtis and Joy Division
Midnight Express - in 1970 an American prisoner in a Turkish prison escapes.
The Elephant Man
Raging Bull
Amadeus
Sid and Nancy
Not Without My Daughter
Schindler's List
Downfall (Der Untergang)

I Love You Phillip Morris was pretty good, even though it's more comedic and from what i see you're inclined to a more dramatic approach
Ghandi
Chaplin
Capote - really good
The Pianist
Braveheart ?
Robocop Cool Face
Le Scaphandre et le papillon
i wouldn't say that Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a biopic, and if you consider it one you should check out Assasination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford
Chopper - if you liked Bronson

all of the are at least worth checking out if you haven't done so far.. i'm sure you'll love at least half of them
