Nah, it's an in-house engine capable of not only graphics but also physics calculations - specifically fluid physics. It's called, imaginatively enough, the HydroEngine. Apparently the HydroEngine deals with the fluids, whilst it can interface with other dedicated physics engines for props and object physics calculations.

Ugh, doubt even 3xGTX480's would be enough to simulate water physics on a large scale, and real-time, with any sort of accuracy or realism. Either the water physics will be very limited, or this will be another one of those games where you're lucky if you get it to run at 20+ fps.

what did you expect its a XBLA game made for the Games on demand Program thats on Live now
hmmm another one from that program goes to PC and PS3 just like that arcade version of Tomb Raider
so looks like those games where timed exclusives
NOW they should Port to PC Shadow Complex!! |

The game was a disappointment on Xbox (58% metacritic score) so the dev team have decided to release a MAJOR patch that will fix tons of issues.. in fact some of them aren't even technical! Additionaly they're lowering the price and releasing an extended demo.
They have also noted that when the other (PC & PSN) versions of the game are released they will include all the changes.

We don't know how long it will be exclusive to XBLA, but if it's like.. 6 months then it should be released in April or later.

game looks intresting to me, maybe it is not perfect, but looks like cool atmospher and kinda original idea....maybe nice, but to know we need release:)

I didn't play it, but seems that the original dialogues/cutscenes weren't exactly awesome |

The game has received further enhancements and it's now titled "Hydrophobia Prophecy".
It will be released on Steam on May 9th for $10, and on PSN shortly later. The PSN version will support Move and MLAA.
They have done extensive changes to the game since their last big update, for example 70% of the levels are completely new, and the rest have been reworked. This means the game's length has been extended. There are better graphics, sound design, remastered voice acting/new voice actors, new combat gameplay, tweaked script, new ending, etc.
