|
 |
Recently my old PS2 has been playing up big-style. It's already had one laser -replacement and I've about tweaked the cogs as much as possible, so I am thinking about just getting one of the newer wee PSTwo kinds.
I was quoted a price of £185 (265 EURO) for one of these with a modchip (DMS I believe) already installed. As you can get these modchips for about £35 (50 EURO) on their own, and the PSTwo is £100 (145 EURO), the guy is wanting around £50 (72 EURO) just for the installation.
I'm not too sure on how good a deal this is, my first thought is not very as it's costing me almost as much as the console itself again, just to get the mod added. Am I being naive here, is this about what I should be expecting to pay?
Cheers.

Go buy the chip and fit it yourself, then youll understand why the guy was charging £50 to install. Also watch out for the pstwo's laser after you mod it...smokin! lol

get cogswap on your memory card and play backups for nothing with use of a swap card ...not for the new slim ps2 without taping the lid switches down
